Does Azula know that if she kills Aang when he's not in the avatar state he'll just be reborn?
She's tried to kill him when he wasn't in the avatar state several times...

Keep in mind when he's reborn he'll be a baby, so he'll be no help when the comet comes.

I'm not sure Azula is the biggest thinker though. Zhao may have been a nasty peice of work but he could plan like a true bast--- um I mean that when it came to being nasty he thought things through.

I dont think that azula would know that but i'm sure she knows of the avatar state so she would try to stop him before he attacked. Also killing him now would mean that he would be reborn and would have to go through growing up and all the training all over again. The fire nation could rule the entire world if they have to. Also now that ba sing se is fire owned they cold easily use the comet to destroy both the northern and southern poles.

remember that if the avatar is killed in the avatar state there will b no more avatars bcuz the cycle will end crying and she knows she doesnt kill him.

The_Lonely_Bunch Yeah, but Zhao still kept him alive. Zhao wanted to keep him alive so he could get the reward and let the fire lord have the pleasure of doing it himself. Plus Azula's and Zhao's missons are/were to CATCH Aang not kill him.
