This is the official suggestions thread for the Mule Guild.

Ideas for new rules, contests, and just about anything go here where the members can see them and discuss.
Remember - any important questions would be better off being PMed to the Guild Captains.

First order of business -- the Guild needs a banner/official title and stuff.
As I've been recruited to make it, I'd like some input.
- What should it look like: should it have a theme of some kind?
- What colours?
- What images, if any?
- What should be written on the banner?

I for one would like to see a banner with a large donkey [or mule] on it with garishly pixelated elven ears and the one ring on a chain hanging around it's neck.

But that's just me.

Sauron was going to say something nasty like "No Valar Allowed" but he's been sent to his room and grounded for a week.

I'm suggesting the Trees be incorperated into it some how (mostly because I like silver and gold). As for what it should be called...my brain is low on name power. whee

I believe we should have multiple banners. There's no reason why NOT to have them. Having more choice will make putting a banner in your sig or on your profile more appealing. Therefore:

-Each banner may have a different theme, though they are always of course advertising the guild.
-There should be different color schemes available. No one likes color clashing on their profile, do they? Personally dusky blue, wine red, and textured cream all look good and Tolkienish.
-I still hold to the mule image. I also agree with a tree theme in some of them.
-On the banner should be our name and either a catchy saying or a picture that begs to be clicked on. Since there should be more than one banner it varies!

This isn't for the banner but maybe for the main page? Have a list of characters that haven't been choosen, that new people could choose from. That way we have less "clones".

Well, there is a mule list... but your right.

AND banners - if we have a bunch, I think you can make a rando-sig out of them, and put it in your banner space, so a different one pops up each time. 3nodding

This is more of a question than a suggestion, but should the two topics started by members no longer in the guild which have no other posts in them be deleted or retained? I kind of feel uncomfortable deleting them, but if they really aren't coming back and no one has posted there.. Well.. I was just unsure.

Or maybe they could be closed and left to drop to the bottom of the page? o.o Even if those members aren't going to post anymore, there were some other characters involved with the roleplaying that went on in those threads. xD I'd hate to see Finwë's entire existence wiped out. Even if he's kinda screwed because his son mysteriously vanished. -snort-

I meant the two threads which have 0 replies. I don't think there would be any reason to even lock the others. Even if Tom isn't here, that doesn't stop people from visiting his house, you know? And I like keeping storyline. Storyline is great.

Ok, new suggestion... cause Glorfy told me I should make my suggestion here. So here it is.

With regards to the art contest(s), I was wondering if it would be possible to have themed art contests in the future. For example, a theme could be "a scene from LotR, the Hobbit, or the Silmarillion", or "a location/place" instead of the typical "drawing of a character" art work. I'm not saying in anyway that character art is bad or cheap or easy or anything like that, I'm just curious to see what sort of art we can produce when we think outside of the popular character art genre.
