from bulb to lamp:
-make the journal, post the info and stuff you want about it [keep the whole first page as reservations just in case]
-post the 'acquiring' roleplay, ie, the one you posted in electroCUTE's main thread
-roleplay two or three times in your journal between yourself and your bulb, and if there are others in the household you may include them
-roleplay once or twice with another person, either in your/their journal [that is, within your/their house] or in the main forum for the forest, town, et cetera
-NEW: you must have your bulb for at least a week before being able to do the next step. I mean, where's the fun in just cruising through all of these and then being done, right?
-IMPORTANT! Roleplay your owner character finding their bulb SHATTERED in some way for the bulb-to-lamp transition. You MUST do this for the growth and you can ONLY do this if you have received your lamp stage. The bulbs grow some before the hatching date. If it is witnessed, the bulb will be seen glowing and then, essentially, 'explode.' Shards everywhere. Watch your feet. And then there it'll be! There will be a smaller-sized and quickly-growing version of their lamp standing there! Huzzah. I repeat: YOU MUST ROLEPLAY THEIR GROWTH IN SOME WAY - one journal post will do.

from lamp to child:
-obviously, change the card in your thread and signature to having the lamp stage, DORKFACE.
-roleplay at least three times in your journal between yourself and your lamp, and if there are others in the household you may include them
-roleplay at least three times with another person, either in your/their journal [that is, within your/their house] or in the main forum for the forest, town, et cetera
-NEW: you must have your lamp for at least a week and a half before being able to do the next step. I mean, where's the fun in just cruising through all of these and then being done, right?
-IMPORTANT! Like before, they gotta grow! To turn from a lamp to a child, the lamp's cord grows long, able to wrap the light fixture like a cocoon with some extra growing room. The lamp is wrapped up like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. The lamp stays like that, fragile and in need of loving attention, for a few days before its cord falls loose and sheds with its lamp form. There it will be a child. ... Prepare to feed it, by the way. YOU MUST ROLEPLAY THEIR GROWTH IN SOME WAY - two journal posts at least.

from child to adult:
-change the card from lamp to child, sillyface.
-roleplay at least four to five times in your journal between yourself and your child, and if there are others in the household you may include them
-roleplay at least three times with another person, either in your/their journal [that is, within your/their house] or in the main forum for the forest, town, et cetera
-NEW: you must have your child for at least a week and a half before being able to do the next step. I mean, where's the fun in just cruising through all of these and then being done, right?
-IMPORTANT! Yep, a growth again. Before becoming adults, the children grow taller -- skinnier -- better in every way-- uh, sorry. They get taller and skinnier, anyways, and then -- gone. When their adoptive family isn't looking or isn't present they'll seem to just disappear, slipping away with no mention of a goodbye except for a note expressing -- something. The note will be written in their native language, composed of symbols hopelessly illegible to humans. Gone; gone away. YOU MUST ROLEPLAY THEIR DISAPPEARANCE IN SOME WAY. You can only see the view of the caretaker, however, and have no idea where the child his/herself has gone. You should have a good two or three posts in your journal about OMG WHAT WHERE ARE THEY or whatever your reaction may be. The second/third post, depending on how many you do for this, will probably be farther into the time the child is gone.*
-roleplay once or twice outside of your journal searching [without success] for the child or trying to find help in searching for them, or generally the caretaker without their lamp.

adult:
-IMPORTANT! Yep. The child has returned -- or, well, something has anyways. Under close inspection it is revealed the adult arriving to the caretaker's home, although bearing little physical resemblance to the child, is indeed their lamp grown to an adult stage. They are more mature in emotions, in their relationships, and in, well, everything; their maturity and their responses to inquiries of WRYYY DID YOU LEEEAVE will be different depending on what type of lamp and what type or person they are. YOU MUST ROLEPLAY THEIR RETURN WELL IN YOUR JOURNAL - one post, but make it worthwhile, dammit.
-change your card, yappity yap.
-roleplay about four or five times in your journal between you, your household, and this new adult fitting in - ooh, relationships?~
-roleplay about four times outside of your journal. NOTE: you can be either solely your caretaker character, your caretaker and your adult lamp, OR solely your lamp from now on.
