I MEMORIZE THE WORDS TO THE PORNO MOVIES. Does anyone have any tips of how to get passed writer's block? X_x Or maybe if you've read my DNAngel story from how far is it at fosff.net maybe you have any ideas for the next chapter? X_x;;; I'm currently at a loss for what to write next for that story. xP Any tips or ideas would be appreciated. ^_^ IT'S THE ONLY THING I WANT TO BELIEVE.

Muu, I don't know if this'll work quite that well but doodling might help. Whenever I get writer's block (which is most of the time), I doodle.
Doodle until something comes up and randomly inserts itself into the story at some random place. Then I just fill in the gaps in between. Voila~ Repeat if neccessary.

My favorite way to nuke writers block is flip through a random page in the dictionary, point to a word at random, and use that as your prompt word.
Also try writing drabbles (short and non plot-useful stories) they don't even need to be 3 paragraphs long.
My last tip is; watch a show or a movie/ read a good book (or a favorite passage) and see if anything hits you.
Walks and showers are always very good ways to get your brain-meats working <3

I've got to agree with Hikari_of_Genesis, showers...I do most of my best thinking in the shower. I think its because I can talk to myself freely there, granted I talk to myself freely anywhere, but it just 'feels' more free. ^_~

I do my best thinking in the shower or at night... but what I usually do for writer's block...
I guess if I'm not at home (at school or someplace that has me equally bored), I start planning out what I could possibly want to happen throughout the entire story - say that I want to be at this point by chapter five, and in chapter seven, I want this to happen. That kind of stuff. That usually gives me inspiration...
Though if you already know what's going to happen and you're just kind of stuck on a filler chapter or something... I usually start writing. Just turn off most/all distractions (except the music, can't work without the music) and write whatever works. It gets easier over time.

*in a dead serious tone* Hit yourself on the head.
Anyways...meditation, listening to music, remembering dreams, doodling, staring at something and letting your mind wander, not focusing on the writers' block (the best ideas come when you're not looking for them) and reading all help. For me, anyways.

Well. What I do when I have writer's block is I write what I want to write. ^^; Confusing, no? Here's an example:
Say you know the beginning and the end of a one-shot (for simplicity) and you've written the beginning, you're stuck on the middle, but you know what you're going to do for the end, what I would do is write the end, and try to bridge the gap... Also it save the time... Sometimes. I know that that's little help, but also, for me, it helps to go out and do something, and not think about writing. ^^;

I always listen to music, and play Solitaire. Something really simple and repetitive like that can help. It's also useful to have the TV going in the background (assuming you skip the music), and halfway listen to whatever's on.
Other than that, I've tried going through my folders and reading my old writing. Sometimes a phrase or a word or a concept will catch my eye.

Thumping my head on the table usually works for me. in particually bad cases, however, I find thumping my head on a table until I get a headache and then searching for the asprin particually useful. by the time I've found the non-existant asprin(i.e: paracetamol, as we have no asprin) I've generally come up with something.
