Why
((this is meant to be read outloud, but it can be read anyways, just doesnt have the same...effect. for helpful reading, pause after each line. and on single word lines, read quickly. *shrug* just fyi jic))
Why do people fall in love fall painfully hard into love emotions so strong they burn inside like fire left untended to devour its surroundings What is it that drives the heart to allow itself to fall into this trap of painfullness loneliness fear Is it a longing for companionship hand to hand mind to mind flesh to flesh heart to heart Why does the mind let itself go giving in to this shining darkness that is the creation and destruction of humankind Happy sad caring hating kissing yelling make up your mind love which is the way that we are supposed to act Why do we do this to ourselves laughing and crying because of another We allow this torment to enter our lives draining us little by little as it brings us up and pulls us down So I ask the question the burning acheing question filling my mind my heart my soul Why do people fall in love?

Yay, Rainy! I'm so glad you finally posted! And what a post it was eek . That was incredible. You're right, it is better when spoken aloud. It sounds like something Jill Scott would slip into her songs, like when eve-ry-thing goes sta-cat-to. Or like something Floetry would put to music. Incredible. Beautiful. I am mindblowingly wowed.
*snaps very enthusiastically* Cool, cat. Cool.

Yes, it was a very nice poem. It describes Love pretty well.
I don't have much experience with poems like this, but I noticed that you capitalized the beginnings of some sentences, but not others. Why is that?

FieryKnife Yes, it was a very nice poem. It describes Love pretty well. I don't have much experience with poems like this, but I noticed that you capitalized the beginnings of some sentences, but not others. Why is that? I think, because i wrote it to be read, i capatalized where a main idea ended, or basically where to pause during reading and begin with a new...emotion...or lets say i have my hands up while saying one part, when it gets to a capitalized word, i put them down, and start anew. I guess im not entirely sure, i just went with how i felt like writing it.

Tenda8860 *points up* yeah I noticed that too.....but it was a great poem Rainy! Do you always write in that form or do you mix it around? im not very good at sticking to one style. With stories i can always look back and tell i wrote something because the styles typically the same, but with poetry my stuff usually differs.

Wow. That's good. I like the title of your post too, with the typewriter thing (it's what I mainly write on) but it has an appeal. If it was longer you could probably use it for Slam Poetry. I like Slam Poetry.
