Im swicthing churches soon
sad i would like some addivice, well my last chruch didnt have a good youth group and i want to join one, but what if my new church dosnt have any body i know. Its in another county from where i live so im kinda expecting to be the only one there from my county... should i just join it and try to make new friends, even though im not good at it.
One of the first youth groups I was involved in, I only did so because my cousin was in it. It was just about the worst one I've ever been a part of. The next one I went to, I didn't know a soul; it's the best youth group I've ever been a part of, bar none!
The kids were a bunch of rambunxious, no-good delinquents; the original youth pastor quit because his wife divorced him; and we were known as the "bad" youth group in town ... nonetheless, it was real. That's why I loved it; people weren't ashamed to talk about their drug addictions, teenage pregnancies, or heavy metal preference.
I guess my advice for you is to find a youth group you can participate in. That's worth driving to the next county for, I think.
