These vehicles will be used to aid our ground forces in battle. You may request for specific close air support vehicles that you can control on your operations. However, if you wish to have long range air support such as combat jets and/or bombers, you must request for such in the underground hanger. These will be controlled by our aerial division and will provide air-to-ground as well as air-to-air support. Keep in mind that only a member from the aerial division may use planes. Once you have requested for them in the hanger, they will join your operation and follow your command.

As of now, the hanger is in construction and we don't have any planes yet. Some contracts will need to be completed before they become available.

Vice Captain Hicks will discuss close air support vehicles.

Thank you, sir.

My name is Vice Captain Hicks and I will be commanding the Helicopter Division to provide air support to our ground troops during missions. Any requests for aerial support from the Helicopter Division will have to be processed by me.

TRANSPORT HELICOPTERS

Right now our only transport helicopter is a CH-47D Chinook Transport Helicopter. Although it is only a transport helicopter, I personally wouldn't choose a combat model over this sweet baby. The Chinook is a highly versatile heavy-lift helicopter. Its primary missions range from troop movements and artillery emplacement to battlefield resupply. With its triple-hook cargo system, the CH-47D is able to carry heavy payloads and can travel at over 150 mph (when it is fully loaded). The CH-47D is capable of holding an eleven man crew allowing for reinforcements to be delivered quickly.

A Black Hawk helicopter was acquired on Operation Requiem. The Black Hawk is capable of troop transport, aeromedical evacuation, and air assaults with its 105mm M102 Howitzer. It can also carry 2,600 lbs of cargo or sling load 9,000 lbs of supplies. It is an excellent helicopter for troop deployment and can assist with aerial assaults.

Thanks to the efforts of our members on Operation 5-41 we now have an Apache helicopter. The AH-64 Apache is a two seat attack helicopter armed with a 30mm M230 chain gun and carries a mixture of missiles and rockets. Built to endure front-line environments, it can operate during the day or night and in adverse weather using the integrated helmet and display sight system. It will allow for us to give our troops on the ground aerial support and reconnissance capabilities.
