BATMAN: Batman (originally referred to as the Bat-Man and still referred to at times as the Batman) is a DC Comics fictional superhero who first appeared in Detective Comics #27 in May 1939. He has since become, along with Superman and Spider-Man, one of the world's most recognized superheroes.[1] Batman was co-created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, although only Kane receives official credit for the character. Batman's secret identity is Bruce Wayne, a billionaire industrialist, playboy, and philanthropist. Witnessing the murder of his parents as a child leads him to train himself to the peak of physical and intellectual perfection, don a bat-themed costume, and fight crime. Unlike most superheroes, he does not possess superhuman powers or abilities; he makes use of intellect, detective skills, science and technology, wealth, physical prowess, and intimidation in his war on crime. SPIDERMAN: Spider-Man (Peter Parker) is a fictional Marvel Comics superhero created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. First appearing in Amazing Fantasy #15 (Aug. 1962), he has become one of the world's most popular, enduring and recognizable superheroes. When Spider-Man first saw print in the 1960s, teenage characters in superhero comic books were usually sidekicks. The Spider-Man series broke ground by featuring a hero who himself was an adolescent, to whose "self-obsessions with rejection, inadequacy, and loneliness" young readers could relate.[1] Spider-Man has since appeared in various media including several animated and live-action television series, syndicated newspaper comic strips and two highly successful films, with a third set to debut on May 4, 2007. Marvel has published several Spider-Man comic book series, the first being The Amazing Spider-Man. Over the years, the Peter Parker character has developed from shy high school student to troubled college student to married professional.

Paki_King bhoot Chat_Noir13 i say batman cuz a regular mortal with no real super human powers that can do what he can do should win out ever time! Couldn't have said it better myself. I agree Okay, so Spiderman got a little help from a spider. But for the most part, he really doesn't have any superhuman abilities other than shooting web out of his wrists and being able to stick to places. Batman has a sidekick, which Spiderman does not. So wouldn't you think that Spiderman needs a little extra help getting around? He doesn't have anything like the Batmobile, or a secret lair to hide in. And who says that Spiderman can win everytime? He can still die like every other mortal can. Superman is one of those who cannot die by any normal means. (I know this isn't the right topic, but I was trying to make a point). So bear in mind that Spiderman is a mortal too; he just had a little extra help from a spider. Batman may not have anything superhuman to show off, but Spiderman is a mortal too.

ok ... both Spiderman and Batman have gadgets. Spiderman cannot actually shoot web out of his wrist ... he makes a web shooter to fit his wrist. Movie got that wrong. BUT I would have to say if the two were to square off then Batman would kick Spidey butt ... biggrin
