Xylon was quite content as he swam around in the large river.
He loved the feeling of water in his fur but felt very lonley. He sighed with his mouth just below the surface of the water and made it bubble. He just couldn't find anyone who would want him.

"CANNONBAAAAL!!!"
A loud cry echoed around the riverside as an orange blur lunged into the water from a nearby cliff, the surrounding earth shaking like an intense earthquake. Fish got flung from the water from the impact, some of the animals spread out flopping near the shore. Mirou surfaced after a few seconds, laughing hysterically.

 Xylon was underwater so he didn't hear the cannonball warning. He felt a sudden water wave. He wasn't particularly surprised by this seeing as he often made waves in the water.
He suddenly realized that he wasn't the one who had made the wave and slowed down the wave so he wouldn't crash into the rocky shore.
When he surfaced, he saw a beautiful orange female Tocou. While he was watching the gorgous female he didn't pay attention to the shakey ground and fell over.
"Great", he thought "if she saw that then she probably thinks i'm a idiot!" "Um... Hello my name is Xylon." he said to her sort of shyly.

Mirou turned around, drying off her dark volet mane by shaking it vigoriously. She smiled at the stranger kindly, waving slightly.
"Helooo there!~" she said, "My name is Mirou, always has been!"

Xylon looked both ways to see who she was talking to. There was nobody else there and he realized she was talking to him. He was quite nervous about her speaking to him.
He couldn't help but stutter with an awkward expression on his face,"U-ummm.... Ni-ice t-to me-meet you."
Feeling completely embaressed, he blushed. When would his body stop embaressing him? WHEN?

Mirou looked curiously at him, tilting her head confusedly.

"Y-yes" his voice cracked. He accidentally tripped over his own large fluffy tail. He landed in the water flat on his face in the water.
He quickly pulled his face out of the river and smiled at her. He started to get used to her talking to him and stopped stuttering and smiled at her. He really liked this girl and did NOT want her to think he was crazy and run away. He would not let his body ruin his chances to have Mirou like him.

Mirou laughed playfully and smiled back, lying down and basking in the warm sunlight.
"Quizzical little guy, aren't ya'?" she said.
Her wer orange and pink fur glistened in the sun, her coat seemingly glowing.

When Mirou layed down, Thats when he realized how exceedingly beautiful she was. How her peachy fur rustled in the breeze and how her coat shined!
There his body goes again. His head told him, "Just say I love you. It's very simple words, you have been saying much harder words for years!, just say I love you!".
"No!, That would drive her away!" he replied to his head silently.
"you have to say something!"
"like what!?!"
"How about I'd like to get to know you better?"
"OK... fine"
"Um... Mirou,... This may sound sort of odd but... I'd really like to get to get to know you better..." He said aloud to Mirou, blushing slightly.
His stomach did a bellyflop as he waited anxiously for her response.

Mirou smiled widely, tilting her head happily while blushing a bit.
"Sure thing, I'd like that very much too!" she purred heartily.
The Tocou began pruning herself, licking her dainty paw and using it to clean her ears. She like Xylon so far, and was even thing if he might be the one.

He looked at her and gracefulness. He let out a soft sigh of relief when he realized that she was not running away and she wanted to get to know him better too! He smiled widely, staring into her beautiful glassy eyes as he began to purr too.
"Don't just stand there! Do something! Say something!", His head shouting at him.
"So... Mirou, What do you like to do? Do you have any hobbies?" He asked politely, still smiling and looking into her eyes.

Mirou finished cleaning and stood up, walking over to the river's edge.
"Well, I enjoy making thing out of seaweed and other stoof... and climbing. I'm really good at that." she answered.
She plucked a piece of seaweed out of the water along with a few empty shells, making it into a necklace and holding it out to Xylon.
"You want it?"

"Oh! This is very beautiful!", he said now staring at the necklace. It was very pretty. He accepted the necklace happily and put it around his neck.
"I will treasure it forever", he said to Mirou.
"I'll be right back", he said. He quickly surfed out to sea and came back with a necklace with many colored shells and the one in the middle was a shiny Mother of Pearl color.
"It's for you.", he said smiling at Mirou.

Mirou stared wide-eyed at the necklace, amazed by its beauty. She happily received the necklace and slipped it on her neck, her eyes sparkling.
"I will treasure it as well, thank you!" she said, nuzzling him playfully.

"Your very welcome!" He said smiling. He felt her nuzzle him and thought he would shout for joy. He felt very happy and nuzzled her back affectionatly, now purring.
Xylon has been known to take things to fast. Thats why most females wouldn't have him. He licked Mirou's face softly and continued to nuzzle affectionatly and purr.
