I have decided to put a quick disclaimer. I moved to America not too long ago from Germany, so please forgive me if I am not perfect with spelling, and geography. If I use the wrong word, forgive me, just let me know.

-Intro- -Rules- -Story Line- -Setting-
On top of the current guild rules, I would like to add some of my own.
1.) Since this is a LITERATE rp, I do not expect to see anybody posting language known as 'txt tlk' If you are truley too lazy to type out a whole word, you have no place in this Role Play. 2.) Sorry to be picky, but all posts must be in a size 9 font. I do not care about color, but size 9 ONLY. 3.) Proper grammer please. Comma's where they should be, capital letters at the begining of a sentance, and punctuation. Spelling, I do not mind simply because I, myself, am not a wonderful speller. 4.) No half spiecies, or born vampires. If you do not know modern vampiristic mythology, vampires are born by being bitten, not through natural human birth. 5.) If you miss a few days, read all missed posts, and then continue. Do not try to understand without reading. 6.) Romance is incouraged. Instant romance is not. Let it grow, no 'Love at first sight' things. 7.) A maximum of 2 characters can be played by one user. 8.) Characters can be played by the opposite sex. (i.e. a girl can play a male character)

-Intro- -Rules- -Story Line- -Setting-
A vampire: sensual, sexual, dangerous. In these days, people are so isolated from the world. Most people do not even know their own neighbors. What would happen if you were to know your neighbor though? What would happen if you found out your neighbor was a murderer?
What if they were a vampire?

Oregon was never liked by many people. Especially the north-western most parts. Too cold, too rainy, too cloudy, these were common complaints. However, if you can not feel the cold, why should it matter? Rarely a sunny day is seen in the small town of Calden. Right on the Pacific coast, Calden is a small town of 2500 people, most of which are adults. Mostly forestry, it was a fantastic place to look at, but after a while, the greenery becomes boring, and bland.Disclaimer: CALDEN IS NOT A REAL CITY. The conditions though, are based on true weather occurences on the north Pacific coast of Oregon.

Isabell was at her poarch, ready to return to her delicious looking cat when she caught the scent of a deer nearby. Hunger was taking over her, and the woods behind her house were considered too 'scary' for anybody to actually go into them, so Isabell walked calmly to the line of trees. About 20 feet into the lucious, green, wet forest, Isabell removed her shoes, and jacket quickly. Soaked within seconds due to the pouring rain, Isabell took off into the woods, so fast the human eye could not capture her movment.
Stopping in a small clearing when she caught the scent of the deer again, Isabell let go of all her scenses, and allowed her instincts to take over. Barring her teeth, showing her near pulsing kanines, and narrowing her eyes, Isabell scanned the surrounding forest for the deer. Finally, it was found about 100 feet west of her. Even with the wet ground, Isabell moved across the forest floor without a sound when she spotted the dear. This time, it was only 20 feet or so in front of her.
A crooked smile escaped her lips, as she glided through the trees and tackled the deer, breaking all of it's legs before it had a chance to even notice her.
Isabell quickly sunk her sharpened nails into it's neck, tearing open a vein. Quickly, barely wasting a drop, she covered the open wound with her mouth, sunk her teeth into the soft flesh and began to consume the warm, thick liquid pouring out. With every gulp taken, her eyes grew more and more blue. Closing them briefly to further enjoy the warmth, her eyes fluttered open again to investigate a distant sound she heard.
This sound was not very loud, meaning it was far away. About three or four hundred feet away, she heard two people talking, and walking in the forest. They were gradually getting closer. No longer allowing the liquid to flow naturally, Isabell began to coax the liquid out with a difference of pressure.
Now only 200 feet away, Isabell tore at the deer's stomach a little but to give the appearence some wolves got to the carcass, and ran back to her door.
Taking off her now dirt and blood soaked socks, Isabell carried them inside to wash, after brushing off her skirt. Stopping to look at a mirror in a hallway, she was glad to see that her eyes were perfectly blue with the small onyx orbs in the center. Smiling widely, showing her pearl-like teeth, she continued to examine herself. Her chin, mouth, neck and chest was saturated in blood that had escaped the seal of her lips. Her knees were also dirty, but only with the forest's natural soil. Frowning at her uncleanliness, Isabell continued to the end of the hallway where she kept her washing maching, and dryer.
After quickly removing her clothes, and shrugging on her robe, Isabell turned on the machine, and went to the bathroom to shower the blood off of her skin, and out of her hair.
The warmth of the water felt soothing against her cold, dead skin. Wiping the access eyeliner from under her eyes, Isabell sat at her kitchen table, and smiled as she pet her black and white companion with warmth instead of temptation.
Glancing at the clock above her stove, Isabell quickly changed into her work clothes, and got into the black Saturn sitting in her driveway. Releasing the parking break, Isabell shifted swiftly to reverse, backing out of her driveway quickly, then slammed the car into first gear, hitting 90 before she got to the end of her street.
Arriving at work on time, she threw on her aprin, and sat quietly behind the counter of the Calden Supermarket. The store was dea for all intensive purpouses, so this gave her time to work on a drawing she had started a few days prior.

There was never really an apt explanation for it. Nor could one single person pin to it a mental rationalization. It was just there. And the common onlooker had only to wonder in silence; for “it” was the unspoken reason as to why such an uncommon visitor as Lance Gartner would come to visit Calden.
There was something about Mr. Gartner’s atmosphere; some unseen quality he possessed that both drew and shunned the attention of the public. He was a subtle man with a quick wit, yet not one to be so easily understood. His secrets were as guarded as the expression on his pale face. His very appearance was a mystery.
Perhaps ‘uncommon’ would not have described him if he had been near the larger cities of the world. His lean figure was clad in delicate fabrics dyed an innocent shade of powdered, baby blue. A suit could’ve described it; however a high-ranking business man would not have worn it. The clothing simply was and wasn’t out of place. Even so… it was no odder than the pastel hue of his skin… or the white saturation of his silken hair that fell long around his young face. It was almost as if… he couldn’t be called human.
But such thoughts rarely crossed the minds of the common people. No, Lance understood that his hidden purpose would be put into question before his appearance. After all, who could explain why he now stood at the edge of that little Oregon town? What did a lone, uncommon traveler want with Calden?

|ooc| No problem. :3
There was a kind of hush in the town, Lance noticed. His footsteps had carried him along the edge of the main thoroughfare to a place where the buildings seemed to be closer to one another. Mild noises kept complete silence from sinking in; or perhaps he was just being quietly regarded as a unwelcome stranger. It was indeed a small town… quaint in a funny sort of way.
Lance tipped his hat down, shading his eyes from the present sunlight. The warmth the light brought was an unkind mistress to his pale complexion. It strove to darken his mood and fade his expression of calm into one of unrest. Perhaps, he thought, it would be best to find a brief escape from it.
Thus Lance’s gaze fell upon Calden’s supermarket and the peace it seemed to hold; if only for the moment. Resuming his well-practiced appearance of composure, Lance approached the door, smiling slightly as the soft jingle of bells quite possibly made his presence known to anyone within.
He stepped inside, gazing around at the various trinkets within his peripheral. Some of the items, however common to the inhabitants of the town, were still foreign to him. Slipping one hand into his coat pocket in a casual sort of way, Lance stepped a bit further into the store; currently feeling unrushed to leave.

Upon hearing the calm jingle of the door opening, Isabell looked up from her counter, tucked away in the corner. Before speaking, as she had intended to do, Isabell noticed a somewhat subtle difference in this new face, than the rest of her customers. She stared quietly, unsure of wether he knew she was there or not. He smells different... She thought, drawing in an uneeded breath. Blood? Maybe...Salt and rust? She tried to name this new scent, but couldn't. Her shrunken pupils scanned his body, noticing a few things, but not paying much attention. First, she knew he was pale. Then again, so was everyone in Calden. This was how she could get away with a near ivory complexion.
Isabell tucked a lock of her snowy blonde hair behind her ear before discarding the knot in her stomach, and greeting the new customer. "Hello," She said in a near singing tone. "Are you looking for something Sir?" She asked, putting on her perfectly acted smile.
Isabell was a fanominal actress. She could convince anybody of anything. Her years of practice had never gone unrewarded.
Isabell allowed her smile to stick, narrowing her eyes slightly, and raising her eyebrows to an almost unoticable arch. "I'm Isabell," She sang her seductive lulliby, "Please let me know if you need anything." She ended the song with her white as snow smile. She barely revealed her lengthened kanine's. She had a hunch as to why this stranger was so different, and she knew only another of her kind would catch on to her hints at the vampires naturally seductive nature, and sharpened teeth.
[Sorry, I have Finals, and I just moved, so I couldn't post for a bit before. ^-^; Hopfully I'll be on a little more now =)]

Though Lance caught on to the woman’s recognizable nature, his mind kept him wary in the sense that he might be near a well-educated slayer. It was never a smart deal to be overly trusting. He himself had a fairly decent knowledge on the creatures of the world; yet one could never be too sure.
He took a few more steps inside the door, gazing about again with a look of mild interest on his face. His observations were brief though, and Lance was quick to turn his attention to the woman behind the counter.
“Wine,” the man stated politely, “I’m looking for a specific kind though… so you may not carry it.”
Having not encountered the rest of the town’s residents, Isabell’s pale skin stood out to him like a pair of ashen drapes freshly hung over a sunlit window. If she was not an imposter, then this would be his first encounter with another immortal in almost twelve years. However there was no cause for celebration. Nearly all these rare incidents seemed to bring unavoidable risk. It was the kind of danger that always left him with the same sardonic smile… and the same feeling of twisted happiness.
