Konban wa, minnasan! Today I'd like to start a new thread in this oh-so-wondeful guild. I've been watching a lot of anime movies lately, and I'd like to see who can suggest some good ones! Come on now, don't be shy! Some Typical Ones: Neon Genisis Evangelion(Death and Rebirth; End of Evangelion) Inuyasha(anything) Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (if you have any more to add, just shout it out) Basically, don't reccommend them unless you can come up with some really good reasons(like, lengthy reports and crap). Panties' Pick: Karas: The Prophecy - Technically, it's an OVA, but it's as long as a movie and leaves you slightly confused(waiting for it's sequel, no doubt).

well my favorite anime movie, although this is probably technically on ova as well, is rurouni kenshin: trust and betrayl, this movie is so good, probably because it takes place while kenshin is still the battousai and so you get to see him kill people, which is really cool. But the little love story between him and Tomoe is soooo sad, I really, really recommend this movie, it rocks! biggrin

I like Ghost in the shell. Its one of those philosophical movies, about what it means to be human. What happens when a computer program is so complex that it becomese alive? Where is the border between man and machine? This movie deals with these big questions. The story is about a special branch of the goverment's search for a hacher. But the actual story is not so important. It has great visuals. And some very good action scenes too. Its based on the manga by Masamune Shirow, but stands on its own. Defenetly one of my favorite movies.

Miyazaki films are really good. the ones I've seen Princess Mononoke Spirited Away ( cute movie and has won a couple awards I think) Kiki's delivery service. ( cute kiddish love type movie) Castle in the Sky ( very pretty art) Nausicaa: Valley of Wind ( pretty cool and creative movie) Howl's Moving Castle ( fun movie to watch and I read the book it was based off of after even though there were a couple things that were different both book/movie were good)
Escaflowne was a good movie too. 3nodding

Hm. I really liked Samurai X: Reflections.
And, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Conqueror of Shamballa is pretty awesome, too.
And of course, you can't forget Miyazaki's classics, you know? xD

Nevermind about what I said before Full Moon, it's kinda sad. I really recommend it 52 episodes in less than 2 weeks.

Well, I haven't seen as many anime movies as I'd like to have seen, but the few I've seen were highly recommendable. I loved Akira, I think that's the first anime movie I ever saw. Steamboy, who I believe is by the same person that came up with Akira, was equally amazing, and had some of the best art I've ever seen. Also, though I haven't seen it yet, I hear the FMA movie is really good.
Oh, and if all else fails, there's always Miyazaki. xD

Well I havent seen that many, due to duties of life, but I would reccomend: Escaflowne; I've seen it several times, although I cant remember how many volumes it is, there's romance and comedy...and of course mech battles are always fun too.
Kyo Kara Maoh because its funny, there's a very twisted love story, and lots of nice battle scenes.

Revolutionary Girl Utena: The Adolescence of Utena is pretty good. It is hard to understand but if you have seen the series you should get it what is going on. I have seen it like twice on AZN and I have never seen the series. I want to see the series. There are few good duel scenes in it.
