Plot brianchan90 i have an idea that will join everything together:
Ryoku and Tarren can discover a hidden military base. when they investigate further, they find their Gundams, and they overhear plans to use them to destroy ORB, so Kairynn helps them take it? iunno..."Project Eternity", which can be elaborated on. that is one of the most important parts to consider after all, the master-plan.
Athrun can be there to discover Audrina's past. all his investigations will probably lead to some violent conflicts, and that could lead to an OR breakdown way on maybe in phase 40 or something.
most likely, Ryoku, Tarren and Kairynn will join with Athrun, and Kira and Lacus ltr on.
as for Daniel's mission, make it something to do with A-0 and the EA. that way he and Ciel can take them down somehow. and maybe have the ZAFT team move from investigating the OR to finding out about A-0. afterall, that evens out the number of gundams fighting on either side.
and the whole target of it all: who gets to rule all of earth? very stereo-typed, but an idea. that way most battles will be on earth, and the PLANTs are only there to bring some more aide. that will also lead to different ideas that instead of conflicts between Naturals and Coordinators, it is conflicts between the different groups living on Earth (which has both Coordinators and Naturals). [-Lacus--Clyne-] so from what i see, we can finalize this for the phase 4 outline:
1. Ciel and her friend are in the village, and they are on an outing together, discussing topics that gives more insight to Ciel's life and the village life. mention that her friend is a Natural, which shows Ciel is not prejudice to her because of that. Friend played by: Cagalli, Hodge or Angel
2. Kira and Lacus talk before Kira leaves for Orb. A small scene with the two of them saying goodbye till later on. may be more discussions to elaborate on.
3. ZAFT crew gets their instructions at Headquarters. Meyrin also appears in scene. Person with instructions played by: Cagalli, Hodge or Angel
4. Ryoku and Tarren are still in the lab where they make their discovery of a hidden military base. May be elaborated on, but it is a small scene and not much details are given. They end with plans to investigate further.
5. ZAFT crew in the OR on their assignment. Another small scene: may be elaborated upon.
6. Daniel meets Ciel. Military attacked village and Ciel is caught in the middle of the fights. Daniel comes into scene and helps her away from the trouble. The have a brief talk outside the village, where Daniel and Ciel encounters militants (some who explain that they were ordered by the OR to attack the village, while others deny it). End scene and phase with them looking at village burning (can be modified, i just thought that as a typical gundam seed phase ending). Militants played by Cagalli, Hodge or Angel.

The streets of Miroir were bustling with people today. Mothers brought all their children to shop for candy and toys, groups of girls came to window-shop, and people were all over the place trying to get their hands on the latest goods. It was a bit more crowded than usual since new products had come in. Miroir was usually a quiet town; it wasn't one of those huge bustling cities that were pouring with people and noise and completely involved in politics and such. However, recently, tension had been present and there are some who are doubting the tranquility of Miroir and calling it a "false" peace. There was always a slight feeling of unrest.
To Ciel, all of this was making her mind fuzzy. She walked down the streets while scanning her shopping list over and over again. "Let's see... some bread... milk... eggs... flou- but we just got two bags last week!", she said to herself. It was true, her grandmother loved to bake more than anything and used ingredients up so fast that they were always running out of supplies.
Ciel sighed as she stuffed the list into her purse and skipped her way to the bakery. It was a dainty little store run by a very generous and kind old lady. The orange-haired girl made her way in and at the sight of the baker, she smiled. "Good afternoon, Mrs. Dubose!"
"Good afternoon to you, too, Miss Ciel," the elderly lady replied. "Here for another loaf of bread?" Ciel nodded and waited as she went to the back to fetch some. The bakery was filled with the aroma of fresh bread. The cakes on display were always so beautifully made, some with strawberries, some with chocolate hearts, and others with mousse of all different types of colors. Mrs. Dubose returned and handed her a loaf of bread.
"Here, it's freshly baked. I hope your grandmother enjoys this," she said and smiled. Ciel nodded a 'thank you' and reached inside her purse to pay her. "Thank you kindly, dear."
Ciel turned and set her bread on a nearby table while trying to put her change in her purse. The miniature bell above the door rang several times as many people came in.

Inari Chantess is a simple girl who grew up in Miroir, not knowing any other life. She loved running around on sunny days for the fun of it, and she loved hanging around wildlife even more. On most days, if she wasn't with her friend Ciel, she'd be by a thicket of bushes coaxing a squirrel, maybe a bird of two, out of hiding to feed from her hand. These days, however, her friends didn't dare visit as much. Groups of soldiers marched by towns on a regular basis now, scaring many of the animals away. So, Inari contented herself with a day-full of shopping.
Today, she decided once again to take a break from her forest friends and skipped into town to meet the bustling people. She waved to some neighbors as they passed by and headed towards the square. Her long black hair was loose today, and flying about as she walked in the direction of the wind. She had worn a soft cream-coloured shirt to match her hazel eyes, and had on a billowing green skirt and sandals. Walking by the bakery, she doubled-back as she spotted her friend Ciel. They had been best friends since they were little, and were never too far from one another.
She followed a crowd into the shop and hopped behind Ciel to tap her on the shoulder. "Hello!" She said with a cute wave. "Buying more supplies for your grandmother? I hope she's making another cheesecake like the one you helped her with last week! It was delicious!
Inari looked about at the suddenly very loud shop. "Busy again today isn't it? Want to grab some ice cream?" She indicated with a finger towards the parlour across the street.

Ciel jumped in surprise. "Ah, Inari! Haha, you scared me!", she said as she finished stuffing her change in her purse. "Yeah, Grandmother always runs out of flour... I wonder what she's going to bake next?" Well, at least Inari's normal... actually, everything's quite normal... then why is it that I feel so weird... like, something's not quite right...? Her thoughts were interrupted when her best friend suggested ice cream. "Ice cream? Oh, okay..." she said as she grabbed her loaf of bread. "Let's go."
The two made their way across the street. The ice cream parlor seemed to be pretty busy today as well. There was hardly anywhere to sit and there were numerous children trying to pick out what they wanted. Ciel made her way to the counter and waited for someone to come and help her. "One scoop of mint chocolate chip, please," she said. Ciel didn't have an exact preference on ice cream flavors. She just got whatever felt right at the time. And right now, she felt like she wanted something nice and cool... to soothe her tension...

"And a double scoop on the Napoleon for me!" Inari said with a giggle, handing two bills across the counter. "And it's on me," she added to her friend with a wink as the ice creams came.
They went to the patio, and finally managed to find a quiet corner to sit at. Inari leaned back and watched her friend thoughtfully. Something seemed to trouble Ciel, though not the slightest hint showed on her face. Knowing her friend for so long though, Inari sensed it. It was since her parents died...Ciel had sort of retreated into herself. She became more of laid-back person with strong feelings against the wars. After all, if the wars hadn't happened, her parents would still be alive... Now, being alone with only her grandmother, Ciel spent a lot of time over at Inari's house, enjoying the feel of a parental love-filled house with screaming younger siblings.
She went and patted her friend's back. "What's wrong? Are you thinking about the Bloody Valentine Wars again?"

Ciel took a small scoop of her ice cream and lavished the minty taste. Somewhat blankly, she viewed her surroundings and simply gazed at the somewhat peacefulness around her. However, Inari's question brought her to reality.
"Oh, no no no!" She suddenly replied. "I told you, I don't really care about it anymore..." Or at least, she tried to. She always pushed herself to forget those events... those miserable days see spent crying all alone... "It's just... arg, I don't know! Something feels strange... different... Something seems restless... I think I'm going insane..." Sighing, she laid down her spoon on her ice cream.

Inari pondered this for a moment, her hand to her chin. "Well, with all the essays given to us over the break, who wouldn't be! Not to mention you are taking way harder courses than I am." She was referring to the university homework they received while they took a two week break to relax. While Inari studied music as a major, Ciel was much more academical. She grinned, and noted that Ciel probably wasn't thinking about it, but she hoped it would change the subject.
After a long pause with no response, she sighed and grew serious. "Well, I heard that the town of Coution recently had a confrontation with the military. They were split between territory owned by both ORB and the OR. The village ended up trying to choose sides and in the end, the OR went in to settle it and claim it. They've been doing that to a whole bunch of towns recently close to the border. Maybe that's what got you so worked up." Still no response came. "Don't worry so much Ciel. We're further from the border than the other towns and we haven't even brought a complaint forward. The military has no reason to come."

Ciel could tell her friend was trying her very best to cheer her up, but it wasn't working. It was true that Ciel did have much work to do over the break, but that wasn't really what was bothering her. Plus, the topic of Coution didn't help either.
"But Coution's a border town... doesn't that mean something's wrong?" Rather reluctantly, she swallowed down another bite of ice cream. "I mean, I know we're pretty far from the border, but they'll probably get to us one day, won't they?" She really didn't know why she was thinking so far. She usually didn't and was the type of person to just focus on what she could do at the moment. But the more she thought about the possibility of war or conflict, the more anxious she began to be.
She remembered everything; everything that had happened during the Bloody Valentine wars even though she was young. She still had nightmares of them on some nights. In her dreams, her parents were always disappearing into thin air and she would watch her house become obliterated over and over again. There was never an end.
"What if... there's going to be another war?" Ciel whispered, more to herself than to her friend.

Inari didn't know what to say in response to Ciel's tiny question. It appeared her friend's worries were not abating her and resurfacing memories were starting to pour onto Ciel's face. Inari licked her ice cream silently for a while, thinking of another method to cheer her up.
However, Inari never got the chance to do that. She dropped her ice cream on the ground in surprise as she felt the chair move underneath her. Within moments, a slow rumbling shook the ground, and tensions in the air began to rise as people slowed, looking frightfully around them.
Inari glanced at Ciel, who's worried look had deepened further. She opened her mouth to say something, but just then, a loud explosion sent a thundering blast that shattered their eardrums, with clouds of thick smoke billowing in the air.

Lacus walked worriedly over to the docks with Kira, carrying his coat with her. She was worried about the latest issues Kairynn had been reporting back to her. It sounded as though more desputes between ORB and the new Republic were rising, not declining. She didn't understand. With the recent agreements over the borders of both countries, the nations should have settled to the peaceful manner they were suppose to. The negotionations with the OR will have to increase, though it may put quite a bit of stress on Kairynn...Lacus thought as she exited the hall.
In front of her stood the Strike Freedom, gleaming in the light as its shiny armour glanced off a passing vehicle. "I'll see you soon Kira." she said, brushing away her previous thoughts.

Kira stood confidently in front of the Strike Freedom, wearing a new white and purple pilot suit. He glanced at Lacus, who had accompanied him over to the docks to see him off. She was beautiful as usual, but she had that same worried look on her face that she had had all morning.
He knew it had to do with Orb and the OR. It was his job as messenger to Cagalli to explain how bad the situation for both nations were becoming. They did not want the results of war to start again.
He put down his small sack of supplies and hugged her tightly. "I'll be back in a week; and I'll be in constant touch." he told her quietly. "I'll see you soon too."

Lacus hugged Kira back, knowing he'd stay safe. "Take care of yourself." she told him anyway, as they broke the hug and she handed him his coat. "I'll be calling you as soon as I hear the Strike Freedom has landed."
She held him for a moment, before adding "make sure that Cagalli is alright. I know she's been at meetings all week, and she has already signed many new border patrol licences. She should still take things slowly; don't let her over-exert herself!" She smiled at this.

Kira laughed at Lacus' attempt to bring some humour to his task. He accepted his coat, replying "Don't worry, she'll be in bed or sitting down whenever I'm around. You'd better go in now. I'll miss you." With that, he kissed her on the cheek and picked up his bag.
Now, he walked over to the Strike Freedom and elevated himself to the cockpit. Once inside, he buckled in and turned on the ignition. When they gave him the green light, he called out "Kira Yamato, Strike Freedom Launching!"
The Strike Freedom took off with ease and was soon in space, heading for Earth. He looked over to the sunlight hitting his MS with sun rays. "See you soon Cagalli." he said as he sped into a streak of light.

Lacus watched Kira depart, waving from the observation room as he took off.
"Haro! Be happy!" cried Mr. Pink as he rolled on the floor beside her.
Lacus opened her hands to let him jump up to her. "Yes, we should be happy. I just hope that we can make this happiness stay."
