There is a balance to the universe. Each side perfectly matched to its mirror image. However, any and all things that happen change that balance. A single action is calculated in such a way that when placed on one side, its opposite materializes on the other. Regarding what it is a single being says or does, they may produce golden links for their chains or iron links. Either way they are chained to the balance...

There is a balance to the universe. Right is right. Wrong is wrong. Evil is evil. Good is good. Everything is perfectly balanced in the ultimate design of the grand scale of the cosmos. Without a doubt, the balance is perfect, it is fair, it is a creation of pure logic and its every action is perfect…

But is it true? Is this perfection truly the ultimate in creation? Is how one leads one’s life truly either evil or good… or is there a paradox?

Is there something that transcends the balance? Was that something designed to throw off the balance? What is it that rises above perfection, logic, fairness? What could be more profound then the balance? The Paradox. All truth lies somewhere between dark and light, good and evil, life and death.

The Paradox.

There has been a prophecy, past down from generation to generation of a terror that would strike the land. Of a slumbering monster that would grow to annihilate the planet with its evil cosmic powers and strength. Over the years children have grown up fearing that the creature of darkness would hide beneath their beds, lay in waiting outside their doors, waiting to consume their flesh. This creature called the Demon.

As time past, seers the world over have been trying to clarify the prophecy, to pinpoint exactly which creature, in the land or sea, is the creature of darkness. To pinpoint in the hopes of capturing the malevolent being and destroying it. After many, many years, a young seer was able to connect with the Demon. This young man was also able to pinpoint its slumbering location, in a small village in the highlands.

The world has now set its eyes upon a small creature, destined to extinguish life as it is known from existence. The world searches for a tiny being sleeping soundly cradled in the arms of a young woman watching over him. The world has set its sights on destroying this small creature, a little baby dragon named Akuji.

Character name: Ryoto
Age: 42
Appearance: Ryoto is a man that is feared, not just because of his stature, but because of his appearance. The army general is a tall and muscular man, with eyes that pierce into ones soul. The aura which radiates from this man, can make even the bravest adventurer tremble at the knees. Because of his overall presence, few can describe what Ryoto actually looks like. But few have dared to look upon him, so that ones who have seen are quite scarce.

((Well, since I am your godly powerful leader, I felt as though that ones rules were not suitable enough to be read by myself. However, since it has bothered you so, I will therefore, in the future, read them. XDD Naw, it was just my stupidity. Boy, was that embarressing... I didn't read the rules... wow, what a great role model I am...))

Ryoto looked out from his chamber windows, watching as the girl made her way from the castle. She had begun at a regular pace; a speed which one would normally use when one leaving had nothing to hide. However, once she had gotten at least half a mile away, she immediately charged forth into the woods, tripping over her feet as she did so. The General smirked at this and slowly turned to the two guards which stood at his door. "You there," said the man, looking to the guard who stood left to the two double doors, "Come here." In terror, the guard stood up straight, but failed to come forward. However, after a few moments, the man had gathered enough courage to do so; he did remain quite a bit aways from him in the end, however.

Not noticing the man's uneasiness around him (since he himself was used to such reactions to his presence that it no longer phased him), Ryoto continued what he wished to tell the man. "Ready my horse. I wish to pursue the girl to whom I was origionally speaking to." After his words had left his mouth, the guard tried to answer, but was unable to. Irritated by this, Ryoto turned to face the man, his eyes glaring down upon him. "Is that too much for you to understand!?"

The presence of Ryoto was now too much for the man. Shaking his head, the guard quickly turned and left the room, leaving the other guard alone with the General. Sighing, Ryoto looked out his window once more, watching as the girl stummbled through the forest. He knew that she had the creature, however, she had held her position quite firmly, making it impossible for him to charge her with any penalty of law; he was now in a troublesome position. Shaking his head, the General turned and made his way to the stables...

In no time, the general had mounted his horse and soon charged off into the night in the direciton where the girl had thrown her life to; a path of destruction and death. "Fool," said Ryoto, his eyes searching the forest, as his horse charged forth into the night. "The prophecy is comming true because of your compassion..."

Appearance: Long curly brown that travels down to her mid back. Her eyes are grolden and hunny, and she ish not ordinary being, for she is a creature of the night, and i'm not talking Vampire.I'm talking Demon, wolf demon.Her ears are Black with white tips and her tail is the matching set.Her body is rather filled, with full hips and chest.She normally wears a Giant shirt that hides her form,and a red collar with a golden bell to match her eyes.Her Aura is gental.She is a very optimistic person and innocent as heck.

Saskai stood before the river. Finally, she was almost out of that man's grasp. She searched the barely moonlit shoreline with her eyes, but she was so tired it pained her to do so. Her heartbeat was begining to steady itself to a contistant rthyme. But it would not last. The little creature snuggled himself into Saskai's chest. She smiled at him, Akuji was such a gentle little dragon.

"S-sir, I don't believe I know what you're t-talking about," Saskai managed to stutter, "A dragon? W-why would I know where a dragon would be? Ow!" She winced at the pain in her arm. A solider had tightened his iron grip on the girl, and the pain was so intense tears lined Saskai's eyes. "P-please, my lord, I know nothing, please let me go."

These memories were fresh in Saskai's mind as she pushed the boat onto the dark water. Saskai had a friend int he village who owned this boat. Though it was thought to be dangerous to earn a livilhood so close to the forest, her friend would always say that he caught the best fish on this river. She felt bad about stealling it, but she had no other choice in the matter, if she wanted to protect Akuji. Each row of the ores pained Saskai so, bruises had formed where the guard had held her arm. The tears had come back to her eyes as she kept at her pace. She had to outrun the moon overhead, the night sky was clearing.

She could see her breath before her. The night had grown colder and she began to shiver. When Saskai fled her home she could only grab a few items. A small blanket to cover Akuji, her traveling cloak and a cloth bag with a half loaf of bread and an apple. Akuji slept soundly at Saskai's feet, safe, warm and dry from the night.

Saskai's breathed a sigh of relief once her arm was released. However this relief was short lived. She looked up once more and gasped, bowing her head, "Lord Ryoto. I-I- um- what would bid of me, sir?"

There was a distant sound of a horse from behind. Saskai nervously glanced over her shoulder. There, on the river shoreline was a man mounted on a fine horse. Fear crawled up her spine, she froze. Sakai could not move, the boat layed adrift on the river. Her short, shallow breaths were visible in the cold night air and Saskai was powerless.

Akuji gave a short sneeze from below. Saskai jumped a bit in her seat, looking down onto the small dragon. His little nose poked out of the blanket surrounding him and he once again gave a short, cute little sneeze. Saskai's heart melted. Her warming heart melted away the invisable ice encased about her, and she pressed foward. Saskai was nearly halfway across the river and she would not stop again until her little dragon was safely across. She needed to get to the Fairwater Village, there she could figure out what to do next.
