I know that a lot of people in this guild probably have a secret stash of Cardcaptor Sakura fanarts that they've been hiding. Don't hide your genius! I love to see other arts...and I love to show off my own as well.
So, I'm going to share with you! Aren't I generous?
The pictures are huge, so I'm just going to link to them...
CCS circle with a bit of TRC thrown in.
Sakura and Sakura
I'm also drawing another picture of three different Tomoyos...and, I have a drawing of Kero-chan laying around somewhere....
Anyway, now that you've seen my stuff, I want to see yours!
Please?

You are SO right. I had some Clow Card fanart but I think I lost it sweatdrop .

And I have one of Sakura but from Tsubasa...though she looks really cute! ^__^

Yuuko, your Sakuras drawing was so cute ^__^, I like how you draw!

Thank you~
It was my first day with my NEW materials. XP
Crayola colored pencils and a Micron pen. So, I kept messing up...I wasn't used to the namebrands. Haha.
I'm glad that you like it...and find your Clow Card art. It must be around somewhere...check under your bed...
And, we can pretend that your Sakura is from CCS...they have the same origin after all.

You're welcome!
Micron pen @_@, sounds fancy! =O
Looks like you handle them very well now =)!

Haha, I will xD

Here's a picture of the artsu! (Taken with my digital camera...I want a scanner! TwT) I'm coloring it in Photoshop too, though I haven't done so in AGES.

Wooo, art! Chibi Saku-chan from Tsubasa hehe ^^;;

It is. I specifically asked for a really thin outlining pen for my birthday. Thin sharpies and black pens weren't cutting it...so, that's what I got. I've gotten used to them now, which is good. Otherwise my pictures would be really bad.

Hyuu~ She's adorable! I just want to peel her off the paper and hug her! I hope you get a scanner. I just got mine last month and have done nothing but scan in my pictures...but, I don't have a digital camera...I wish I did.

Wow, awesome! Yes, I know the feeling. When all of a sudden thin black pens blurt out more ink than usual, the feeling is : NOOOOOOOOO! You are definetely used to those pens, because they're really good!

Thanks! ^__^! That made her happy! I want a scanner too, but I don't think that'll happen anytime soon. Well, it's not -my- digital camera. It's like the family digital camera. They all look at me strange when they see I forget to delete the pictures of my drawings xD

Haha, my sister did that once....she had a digital camera and I took a picture of a drawing with it...she like, flipped out on me. It was rather scary. Haha.
I hope that you get a scanner. I enjoy playing with mine.
On another note, after roughly 5 hours of drawing, I have finished the Tomoyo picture!
I plan on playing around with it in paint and irfan view to see what happens...but, here's the original pic!
Piffle!Tomoyo is not good in my opinion...but, the other two are ok. Especially the CCS Tomoyo...I think she came out adorable. XD

AAAAAAH! PRETTYPRETTYPRETTYPRETTYPRETTY!

AND you quoted me on your sig! xD xD! *feels totally loved*

Tomoyo-hime looks awesome, and the work and details is there.
CCS Tomoyo looks really small and cute and huggable, squeee!
Piffle!Tomoyo does really look like piffle Tomoyo...

And they're all in prettiful shades of purple ^^

I love the shading in Tomoyo-chan. I need to learn how to shade >w<;.

The eyes in all three Tomoyos sort of remind me of Furuba...

How did you learn to draw? I mean, do you draw stick figures or something? I've resorted to chibis because my human anatomy would fail any class. I'd LOVE to take real classes, there's a place in the city where they do very good ones, but a) it's far from my house b) I doubt my parents would pay for a class c) my mom decided that this summer we would relax and take no classes.

I thought that your quote was pretty amazing, it needed to be siggy-fied. I'm glad that you liked it! redface
I'm glad that you don't find Piffle!Tomoyo hideous. I messed up really bad on her head...
Tomoyo just looks perfect in purples, and if not purples blues...
And...they eyes are kind of Furuba-esque...not that that's a bad thing though, because I lurrve Furuba.
I've grown up in a very creative family, and drawing is something that was...I don't want to say enforced? But, I drew a lot when I was younger, so that helped.
And, I learned to draw manga through studying other characters in my favorite mangas. Like, with the eyes. Granted, they're my own style, but you noticed how they remind you of Furuba.
I also have little books like..."How to draw anime/manga." XP
I use those for how to draw the body. I sometimes use the stickfigure method when working out arm and leg positions.
Just practice your drawing on your own, and you'll get better. I wonder if I saved my old sketch book...
I started out by completely copying characters straight from the books. Like, it would look as though I traced the picture. Then I moved on to drawing other characters in styles similar to the ones I knew well, and then I tried to create a style all my own...
I just recently learned how to shade. It's the part that takes the most thinking...Like, you need to decide where your light is coming from etc...so, I'm still kind of working on that...
The anatomy of my characters used to be so bad. They would narrow tremendously from top to bottom.
The best advice I can hand out is to practice practice practice. You'll be amazed at how much your skills improve.
