((Note: I will be editing and reediting this information until I have as much information as I can find from many different places. ))

Drow are the most feared denizens of the underdark, and with good reason. Since the civil war that first exiled the dark elves under the earth, they have been forced to fight for survival on a daily basis. Watched over by dark gods with cruel ambitions, the drow have spent thousands of years evolving into scheming, power-hungry warlords.
The drow are also referred to as the Illythiiri or just “dark elves." They comprise some of the most powerful spellcasters. They are typically quite evil, possessing a complex and rich culture. Drow are swift, cunning, and innately resistant to magic.

Drow are, on the whole, sadistic, arrogant, cruel, destructive, hedonistic, and treacherous. They play an eternal game of advancement at the expense of others which is encouraged by the spider goddess and has transformed the dark elves into a race of scheming backstabbers who are eager to increase their own stations by pulling down those ahead of them and crushing their inferiors underfoot. They trust no one and nothing. Most are incapable of compassion, kindness, or love. If they are capable of such emotions, they are incapable of bringing themselves to express such emotions because of the rampant distrust of their society. In their mindset there is little room for friendship. They may secretly value other family members or acquaintances, but because their overly suspicious, and paranoid, natures taint any strong relationships they may form. Some go as far as to be actively murderous and delight in the giving of pain.
Most do not honor their promises or maintian their personal loyalties once it becomes inconvenient to do so. Pride lends them a certain sense of style and appreciation for subtlety. They can be courteous and urbane to eben their deadly rivals. They enjoy surrounding themselves with beautiful things and give hardly a thought to the cost. Their fascination with beauty also extends to the physical body. Drow of both sexes often display their physiques to degrees that other societies may find vulgar. Most drow children who exhibit physical deformities or deficiencies are slain.

Poisons

Velkyn Ogglin ("Invisible Foe")
Contact Neurotoxin
This is a rare poison and it is taken from the toxin sacs of the uncommon *dakhree* fish that swims in certain Underdark lakes. The brewer has to remove the sacs with gloves on his hands if he wishes to avoid being poisoned. The poison sacs arelocated all over the fish's six-inch body, and are tiny, requiring a steady hand and delicacy to remove effectively which is what makes this poison so rare. At the time of onset, the poison causes the victim to convulse as the potent substance attacks the nervous system. The victim then begins grand mal seizures and suffers spinal damage, his back arching and twisting violently as his body jerks involuntarily. If the poison is not neutralized before it has run it's course, the victim will require a cure serious wounds spell to recover from the nervous system damage.
The onset of this poison is 1-4 minutes.
Khaless ("Trust")
Injected Neurotoxin
This is the famous sleep-poison of the drow. It is used on their crossbow bolts to immobilize an enemy so that he can be killed at leisure. ingredient comes from the spores of the oloth'arr mushroom. The poison attacks the central nervous system, causing the victim to fall asleep.
The onset of this poison is 1-2 minutes

((More to come. ))

Qualities - Superiority

Know they are superior, especially to surface elves.
Born with abilities that other races would kill to have which makes it only make sence that the lesser races should be jealous and hateful toward them.
Whether openly derisive of other races or quietly condescending, they make others understand that whatever powers they may gain, they can never match what dark elves accomplish by simply being born.

Qualities - Egotism

Believe in themselves because faith in others is foreign to them.
Have always relied on their own skills and wits to survive. They must continue to believe that they can or they'll succumb to the depredations of other drow trying to scramble up the social ladder.

Qualities - Suspicious

Treachery and lies are expected in drow society. Devestating betrayal is admired.
Despite their sense of superiority, most fear that other creatures will get the better of them somehow. They are always on their guard.
They are not openly suspicious (this would lead to an attack), but they are wary and choose their words carefully.

Qualities - Humility

A necessary skill in their cutthroat culture.
Confronted on equal or lesser footing with a being of greater power, they will often abase themselves to survive. Dead don't get revenge.
Switch from superiority to groveling when needed. If one survives, one can always make them grovel before oneself later.

Qualities - Caution

Take calculated risks.
Rarely fight for anything but themselves.
For a greater cause, such as serving a diety or the survival of their house, they may take greater risks.
Only most fanatic fight fearlessly.

Greed

arrow The drow hunger for wealth and power. The hunger is greater than mere avarice.
arrow See wealth as a means of power and power as a means of control which they need. See power and control as security.

Hate

All drow hate all other drow.
Hatred stems in many cases from envy.
A drow who sees someone more powerful, more intelligent, or more secure sees an enemy.
When a drow's self-hatred and self-doubt outweigh his hatred of others, he fails to take risks and can no longer seize what should be his.

Gluttony

There are very few obese drow, but some do exist.
They do engage in binge eating.
Being overweight or to obsessed with food is a weakness and weakness is deadly.
Same is true for alcohol.

Sloth

Laziness often results to defeat in the life of the drow.
Yet they tire of always being watchful.
Few know what it means to truely relax though all meditate and most persue leisure pursuits.
Some do become slothful and listless. They usually fall to the wayside and their followers gain power.
