I shouldn't be buying anything, since I'm questing for winged anklets, but I'm waiting till I can testdrive them on tektek and if I fall in love with something... If I do, it'll probably be the hair or the rose.

Hope it gets sorted out! I think writing contest prizes sound like a good idea biggrin And it could solve my dilemma about to buy or not to buy! I don't buy and just win the contest instead... xd Getting people to post is always a problem - you'll always have a core of dedicated people and a few less dedicated and then a vast sea of people who hardly appear at all. It's just the way guilds and forums and things work. But since we have 100 people (!) and lots of stuff to do we should get things going.

And I can fund prizes, but what sort of things would people be willing to write for? Personally prizes aren't that important to me - I'd rather enter a really good, inspiring contest with no prize at all than a boring challenge with something shiny and expensive. Although I might enter the boring one anyway, prostitute my art a little... Anyway, I've taken a look at back writing contests in another forum... themes and a common idea tend to be to write something inspired by quotes, pictures, fairytale/myth, songs, etc. Then there's more general challenges like 'write a story involving such-an-event' or 'write a story involving such-a-theme'; challenges based on a certain genre or writing style, or challenges which involve some interesting restrictions (use only dialogue, use no dialogue, use no adjectives or adverbs - we had one where the story had to be exactly 1337 words long) And of course you can use more than one of these in a single contest.

My only issue with posting is that my computer only gets the internet around 1:00 in the morning. Not that I mind staying up, it's just irritating. So, unless I'm on someone else's computer (i.e. right now), it will seem that I'm on speed or something.
I can't wait to join a contest! Except, for some reason, I can't get into the Contest/Challenge forum thingie. Is it unaccessable right now?
Edit: Nevermind. I can get in now! whee

Yeah there's only one contest atm, I'm going to be putting up another one soon, an actual writing one ^^
Everyone seems to have forgotten about the guild already. I wonder what I can do to get up some interest, remind people that they're members XD

Tomorrow, when my computer isn't so laggy, I'm going to sort out a new contest, an actual writing one. Also I'm going to reply to a few more things, etc etc.
