Herro, potential beta!
I am actually pretty nervous about this. I want to attempt a tragic one-sided lesbian love story that has been in my mind for some time now. It's gotten to the point where I have to write it; my muse is perpetually kicking me in the head and calling me some pretty nasty names.
Now, I'm not a terribly great writer. In fact, I have been known to start multiple projects and rarely (OKAY, NEVER) finish them. I need an experienced writer to help me out on this, and I give them full rights (Nay!I encourage them!) to yell at me when I slack off.
Particular problems I have already: What point of view should I use? At what point should I start the story?
Thank you all so much for listening.

Do I let you know here or am I supposed to PM you?
I also wanted to add magic into the mix. It would still be set in modern time, and it wouldn't be out of control magic. Small magic, like in Legal Drug.

Looks like you've got things covered, but I'd just like to say one thing on the point-of-view question.
How I make the decision to write in either first or third person perspective is really no decision at all. I just start writing.
Whatever idea you have in your head, start writing. If it becomes first person, and you think you have enough steam to keep moving, then do it! Keep on moving right along and don't worry about problems. If you're doing better in third person, then keep going! If you aren't, switch, and try again.
I've heard of some people starting to write the same thing in first, then writing the same thing in third (or vice versa) and just choose which they like better.
Hope that helps, and good luck!
