A collection of shrubby bushed rustled as a black and tan head poked out from within them. Emerald eyes blinked, taking in the darkness that was now begining to spread. Tii, the doberman marked lioness was not one for sun exposure, so this time, she had found herself a nice spot to sleep the day away and she did so in the bunch of leafy, thorny bushes which kept her cool and protected throughout the blaze of the day. But now, at night, it was her time to come out and roam.
Tii was a natural traveller, and though she loved the company of others, she was a loner. All the reasonable creatures she knew of were off to bed at this point in time, there was really noone around to socialize with. Giving out a slight sigh, the lithe lioness wriggled out from inside the bushes and stretched, yawning widely. Her head tipped upward, looking to the sky, and trying to figure out which direction she should head in this time.

Naturally, Tii wasn't the only one who managed to keep awake this late into the day. In fact, there were numerous species and animals that took a particular liking to roaming the earth after dusk and late into the night. Despite that the reasons may be different, and there may have been fewer out and about at this time of the day, still some remained.
In fact, there happened to be something headed in the dobi colored females direction even at that very moment. It was large and white and, at times, obnoxious, equipped with bright purple eyes, a brilliant set of fangs along with a puffy, and especially fluffy, white mane. To this particular critter, day or night had no difference. Well, except for the fact that there were many more things to avoid during the day, and it was, in his opinion, annoyingly hot. Yes, he preferred the night time so much more. Besides. Everything on the savannah looked so much more pretty at night.
Although, tonight wasn't much of a night for observing the scenary. Well.. it was more for destroying the scenary. In all actuality, Kai was rather grumpy tonight. A fishing trip gone bad had landed him earlier in deep water, which had soaked his coat to the bone and made life rather.. uncomfortable for the time being. So for about an hour or so he'd been stumbling around, making a racket and cursing beneath his breath at his rotten luck. It was hard to not see or hear him coming.
Unfortunately his luck could only keep getting worse. Especially when he looked up, only to see a large something or other standing near a set of shrubs. Oooooh how he hated making an idiot out of himself. Especially in front of strangers. "Stupid.. things.. go to sleep like every other normal thing around here.. rotten.. stupid.. no good.. whatever it is.." He grumbled, eyes narrowing with irritation. Little did he know that of course, out of all the nights he had to run into something, it was of course none other than Tii. Although it was likely that she disliked him much more than he disliked her, but nevertheless he made for a quick, but noisy, escape into the group of bushes that the girl had only just emerged from.

Tii sighed, her gaze averting from the oncoming moon and stars, focusing back onto the earth. She could feel the place cooling down already, it was heavenly. The female shook her head lightly, taking a step eastward, her decided direction, but before she took another, a strange sound echoed in the night air, and the source of that sound was near.
Tii turned quickly, eyeing the terrain for any disturbances. And that was when she heard the mumbling and the grumbling. Her ears flattened to her head as she looked into the night. There it was, just as she had assumed, a big white blob, an infraction in the night. Kai, the big blubbering brat that always managed to piss her off.
Green eyes narrowed as the mumbling Kai slipped into the collection of bushes that she had just emerged from. With a flick of her tail, she walked back to the bushes, sitting down near them with a thump. She was mad at him, she didn't exactly remember for what anymore, just that fact that she was angry...
"Kai?"

Kai was a horrible sight. His pretty white fur was soggy, flat, and exceptionally dirty, mainly from his repetative rolling in hopes of getting his coat to dry. Although he couldn't help but look up at the sound of his name, despite the grim expression that washed over his already cranky looking face. The fact that it was Tii didn't help any.
"What." He asked flatly, a brow cocking from it's previous narrowed position.
"The point of walking into the bushes was so that you wouldn't follow. Why'd you follow. Females." The male grumbled quickly. "In fact you were supposed to keep walking. So git." He continued, both eyes falling into narrowed positions again while he slumped over and fell with a giant thud to the ground. Once there, he curled into a ball. Well, as well as one could make at his size, anyway, meanwhile tucking his face underneath a paw.
It took a few moments, but his paw lifted, and Kai glanced upward at his 'friend'.
"Still here are you? Told you to go. Go away." He snipped with a frown, impatiently, at that.

Tii couldn't see too well into the bushes, but she could see Kai's figure moving around in there. Most likely, if she would've taken a look at him at this point in time, she would've laughed. But instead, she frowned, her forehead wrinkling at his response. Damn, curiosity killed that cat.
"Don't you tell me to git, Kai, watch your tone"
Tii spoke firmly, in an almost authoritative tone. Something about his reaction to her made her anger fade, but only built her frustration. Usually, with Kai, it was either one or the other. She was either pissed off at him, or frustrated with him. Besides, just who did he think he was, bossing her around like that? Tii certainly did not like to be bossed. Also, the fact that he seemed mad at her made her feel weird. She was the one that was mad, not him, he couldn't be. Tii wasn't sure how to respond further.
"What are you moping about today?"

"You're invading my space. Get out of my space. I found it. It's mine." He stated, irritation etched plainly in his voice. Stupid girl. She always did the complete opposite of what he wanted. He wans her to leave, she stays. He wants her to stay, she leaves. What a stubborn girl, Tii.
Silence had enveloped the pair. Not just any sort of silence, an awkward sort of silence. Kai didn't like that kind, it was.. well.. akward? Especially with /her/ here. All he did in responce to this was recover his face. Fine. She could stay. Whatever. His frustation was hereby emitted through his tail, which flicked and flopped this way and that, randomly thunking against the ground.
"What'm I moping about?" He suddenly commented, ears quirking forward. "What am -I- moping about?" He repeated, his head lifting rather suddenly, irritation that had bottled up ready to explode.
"WELL. If you feel the need to PRY. I was taking a nice little nap. Yes. A NAP. As you can imagine I wake up, I'm hungry. Yes, HUNGRY. I want food. Who wouldn't? I'm hungry, there's a bit of water. Mmn, yes, water. IT'S. WET. There're fish in water. All I wanted was one, damn, innocent fish. One. But noooo.. my luck sucks. SUCKS. One fish. That too much to ask? IS IT?! Apparently it IS because I couldn't get one, and guess what, I. FELL. IN. Yea. So now I'm covered in water, dirt, and on top of it FISHLESS. Yea. FISHLESS. I. WANT. ONE. GODDAMN. FISH. ONE. ONEONEONEONE!!! JUST. ONE. So go away." He panted, standing and ranting rather loudly by the time he was through. It wasn't much of a rant, mind you, but in Kai's defence, he hadn't done much ranting in his life.
"But hey, what would you care? You're /Tii/. You care about /yourself/. So git before I make you." He added, sticking his tonge out at the girl.

Tii rolled her eyes in irritation at Kai's repeating of her question,
"Yes, you parrot, that is what I asked."
Her tail flicked idily, eyes narrowed as the silence wore off. It was then that Kai exploded. Hell, she had never seen him this empassioned ever. Her eyes grew wide and she leaned back, away from the loud male. Tii's ears were flat, but listening, and in this position she stayed until he wound down with his rant.
Tii couldn't help but chortle lightly. Oh how the tables were turned!She thought back to the first time they met when they were young, and Kai had pushed her into a pond, causing her to almost drown. She had come out of it soggy and completely pissed off, and that was the stage Kai was in now. Oh how amusing.
"Well Kai, if you're that desperate, we can go-- Wait, excuse me?!"
Tii was just about to suggest them two to find a lake and fish out some grub, as she was getting hungry as well, but Kai's last statement stopped her dead in her tracks. The nerve. Now she remembered, it was this same topic that got her so angry at him last time,
"Lest I remember, it's you, Kai, not me, that's selfish, don't point your grubby finger of blame at me for your problems!"

Kai stood, expression laced into a nice, pouty frown, even as Tii had laughed quietly to herself. What was she laughing at now?! It was always games to her. Fun and games. He gave a light snort at this.
He was somewhat grateful that she had begun to offer to help find food, but nooo. It was impossible for her to be nice to anyone.
"Was I lying?" He grumped, eyes narrowing even further. "I don't remember pointing ANY fingers at YOU personally. I remember saying that you only care about yourself and not about my problems! And then I remotely remember telling you go GO AWAY. You deaf?" He commented rather swiftly in reply, tail giving off a rather whip-like motion while he spoke. Kai was becoming impatient.
Why was it that whenever he met up with this particular lioness that someone always ended up yelling?

Tii was growing irritated as well, her tail twitching around in an almost uncontrollable manner. Oh the nerve, and the lack of memory too,
"Uh, I heard what you just said, but I was actually referring to a different conversation, one on the exact same subject, Kai."
Tii's tone was dripping with disdain. How is it that she always ended up bumping into him? Last time, she had fled to escape Kai, get as far away as she could, but some how, he always foundher. It was strange.
"Calling me selfish, where exactly did you get this idea? Of course I'm always on the lookout for number one, but I'm not beyond helping others"
Tii huffed, standing abruptly and walking closer to the bush, batting at it swiftly with a paw.
"Come out of there."

"Exact subject of what, you being selfish? Like always?" Kai retorted roughly, seating himself with a thud. "And no, sorry if my memory isn't as quick as yours. I'm a busy guy, I see and hear a lot of things. You're life must be pretty boring if you can remember conversations from weeks, or rather a month or so ago. Damn, you need a hobby." He snorted, shaking his head and turning. He could walk away. He could easily walk away right now and never see Tii every again.
Oh wait, but somehow he always ended up finding her. Or was it the other way around? Rediculous.
"Humph. Make me." He added lightly, at the comment of asking, or rather telling, him to come out of the bushes. "Bet a million fish that you can't."

Busy? Please? She bet all he did was wander around, eat, and sleep... But that's all she did, not that she'd be quick to admit it. Seeing anyone was a rare occurance, so they few she did meet, she remembered quite well, and who could forget Kai? She raised a brow at his next comment. Was that a bet? A challange? Tii was game. She'd get him out of there if it was the last thing she did.
"Hell yes I can!"
With that, Tii pounced forward, grabbing Kai's tail at the mid-section between her sharp teeth. She then started pulling at the massive male, putting all her weight into tugging at his tail, seeing if that would get her anywhere.

"Never said you were /selfish/. I said that you don't give a rats a** about anyone else but yourself. Self-centered may be a bit more like it." He responded, giving himself a nod of satisfaction. "And you have no proof that my head is as hollow as you say it is! So there." The male added tastefully, quirking a brow meanwhile. Who did she think she was? Telling him he had no memory and a hollow head.
Kai had already turned the other way, off his guard, when Tii decided she'd rather rudely pounce his poor, defenseless tail. It took only seconds for a bit of pain to spin throug his spine, causing a yelp of surprise and a fast turn around.
"What the hell're you doing!? Get off will you?!!!" He spat, swiping his paw at the girls face while she tugged on his tail. Alas, his intent was to shake her off, rather than follow her out of the bushes, which was of course the direction she was heading.

Tii's ears flattered to her head, a mischevious smirk growing on her maw. She chuckled through the mouthful of tail she had sunk in her jaws. Kai was such a child, it was fun messing with him, great fun. It wasn't any fun being pissed off at him, but alas, good things seemed to coincide with the not so good ones and such was the truth whenever Tii ran into Kai.
Hopping a bit out of the direct blows at her head, Tii eluded the most of his swats, the tail still held firmly in her jaws. The doberman marked female had no intention of letting go until Kai was well out of the bushes, whether he was oblivious to his exposure from the leafy hiding spot or not.

Kai yelped as she continued to sink her teeth into his tail. His poor tail! And his pretty white fuuuur.. "Tii c'mon! You're being mean! Get off! You're gonna kill my tail for crying out loud!" He yelled, his frustration rising as Tii continued to tug on his tail.
Unaware that he'd begun to back up, halfway exposing himself from the bushes, Kai kicked back at Tii's head with a back paw. It was a pity that he couldn't stay on all fours for long, considering that that kick had knocked him off balance rather suddenly. With a single slip he'd fallen flat, his figure rather sprawled out as he began to drag in a backwards sort of motion.
With another screechy wail, Kail twisted, turning himself onto his back rather than his stomach. Before too long, he'd managed to curl himself around the upper bit of his tail, hoping to tuck the rest of it under himself to keep it safe.
However by this time, Kai had already been drug completely out of his little hiding spot. Figured.
"My tail," He pouted, taking another kick at Tii's nose.

Tii let out a muffled 'oomph' as Kai's kick hit her square in the jaw. But Tii tried to grit her teeth and continue on holding the tail, trying to ignore the pain. Kai's whines were rather entertaining though. What a baby.
Soon, Kai was on the ground, being as unbalanced as he was. Being quite stubborn, Tii didn't give up until Kai was out of the bushes. At that moment she let go of the throughly gnawed tail and exploded into a fit of laughing. She too toppled to the ground onto her back, paw on her chest as she giggled away with ferver. As her laughs died out, she turned her head, looking to Kai with a very amused expression,
"See. I win. Looks like someone owes me fish."
