Well, as far as I am aware, one of the MANY ways you can interperet 'LOLITA' is - "Young, unmarried, youthfull in appearence, or childlike" But I mean, if you have the text book definition of "lolita" as it applies here, then please share it.....
In fact, straight from the Oxford Dictionary my dear:
Lolita
/loleet/
• noun (a Lolita) a sexually precocious young girl / A seductive adolescent girl.
— ORIGIN a character in the novel Lolita (195 cool by Vladimir Nabokov.
If this guild chooses to have its own 'different' meaning for the word, then I suggest it be posted, clearly, simply, and accurately. As they have not, then I beleive it is left to each individuals perception of a 'Gothic Lolita'.
The image above is gothic, lolita, and I thought great!!
I think this pic is perfect 3nodding Perhaps I'm wrong?????
Please help........if that is the case, instead of just critisizing.

To me that picture just looks like a gothic ballerina. smile I agree that there are different interpretations of Gothic Lolita, certainly. I've just come to know it as a style based of Victorian era fashion. Hence why I fail to see why that picture is gothic lolita.

Sure, your right, the Victorian Era fashion idea of a 'gothic lolita' is quite fair enough, and if the owner of this guild or his/her crew had made and posted guidlines and rules laying out just what they wanted & expected I would understand. 3nodding But since they havent I just assumed 'Gothic Lolita" to be a very general term, refering to young, female goths.
I love gothic style, and to me Lolita simply represents youth, young, and perhaps even underage. My picture I thought captured the goth (obviously) the youthfull Lolita'ish appearance (looking somewhat childlike and in a "Lolita'ish ballerina dress") and indeed being elegant. Yep, shes just a ballerina, but I thought it a very youthfull/lolita'ish picture.
I have no clue when it comes to fashion, and most definetly victorian era. To me coming to this guild was just to enjoy being around others who enjoy Gothic themes, and have an interest in younger gothic females (i.e Lolitas). So in that regard my pic is pretty general, I hope you can enjoy just for it being a young gothic female 3nodding
