This is the most recognizable F1 car among the special ones. It was introduced for the 1976 season, but despite its special outlook it only achieved a 1-2 victory in the GP of Sweden. After the 1977 season the P34 was banned and Tyrrell returned to four wheelers.
March 240

During the same years as the Tyrrell P34 the March 240 was also developed, but instead of smaller front wheels the March went for four wheels in the back. The car only was tested and practiced with in a few GPs, before the concept was banned.
Ferrari 312T8

The 1976 year was also the year, when even Ferrari was developing their own special F1. Their first concept dubbed as "T6" was also a six wheeler, but instead of having four wheels on different axles, they where placed on the same axle side by side. But the most special concept was the Ferrari 312T8, which was the first F1 to be an 8 wheeler. The wheels were placed in the front the same way as Tyrrell and the rear wheels the same way as March. Niki Lauda and Clay Regazzioni were testing these both units, but due to technical difficulties they both were banned.
Williams FW08B

In 1982 the Williams team decided to try the same concept as March back in 1976, but their project was cut off short. The FW08B was tested only a few times by Keke Rosberg, but as the four wheels in the back were giving difficulties for steering and there was no speed differential whatsoever, the Williams prototype never made it to the real GP races.
McLaren MP4-98T

During the season of 1998 in Australia, the MP4-98T was launched as a promo car. The special thing about this unit is that it's the first two seater Formula 1, with a seat for extra passenger to experience the speed and forces when taken for a ride. I remember seeing video clips from this particular vehicle on a news report a few years back.
