The only main character he has sucsesfully killed in all the books I have read (all of his forgotten realms except the ones about the drow preistess) is Elbryan in his first Demon Wars trilogy. I haven't read the second Demon Wars (Tried to... too much polotics, and no action. One of the only books I've returned before finishing) so... again, I'm going from what I've read.
What I'm trying to get at is his unbeleivable resurections. Wulfgar? He should NEVER have come back. :Shiver: I hate that part of the book, it is so unbelievable. And when Bruenon was brought back to life out of a near death coma by Regis's ruby? Agh!
Any one else have thoughts?

It's been a while since I read about Wulfgar's resurrection, but I do remember Bruenor's. And yeah, that one did seem to be a bit of a stretch to me, but I think I consolled myself by saying that he'd had a bunch of dwarven priests praying over him, and that might have helped a bit. Regardless, I always got the impression that the ruby wasn't *quite* that powerful, so it was still kinda iffy.

I think its nice that Bruenor came back, but only if it had been different would it have been better. Having Bruenor alive will give Salvatore more of a chance to show us the world of dwarves and their past. But yeah, Salvatore does seem to have a problem with killing off charactors, he just gets so attached to them.

I agree that Wulfgar shouldn't have returned. But think about the other characters Salvatore has successfully killed off!
Kellindel... Sharlotta... Mariabronne...
eek WHY DID MARIABRONNE HAVE TO DIE?!
I miss him so. crying

Hold on just a minuet you mean ta tell me you think the king of Mithrilhall finest Dwarven King to ever grace Faerun. Was just gonna lay in bed and die his people his children and his land under siege by Orcs? I don't think so that's fitting.

I agree dwarve have always died with valor and the resserection of Wulgar was a great twist in the story though he could have covered that twist a little better.

bringing Wulfgar back didn't bother me much, it's just how he acted after...
if he was just going to be like that for the next three books (including one book that was all about him and was horrable because) he might as well just stayed 'dead' sweatdrop

I just hate how they brought him back. I would have been devistated if he had died. I just don't like the reasoning behind why he didn't.

You're asking me why? eek I don't know, I can't answer that for him...
I haven't read Demon Wars, but it sounds like I should.
Then again, maybe not. I'm still mourning over the loss of the beautiful Mariabronne.

bruenor was never really resurected cause he never really died. he was jusy sorta in a comatose state. but he does have a fascination for killing lots characters. and its usually the ones i like crying . like shoudra the sceptrana and besnell the elf.
