So, I decided to use the Poisonberry base, too!!
Now, who could deny this under the tree Christmas morning?
I'm relatively happy with the way this turned out. I was just experimenting on shading techniques. I hardly ever pallette shade in MSPaint, I usually stick to shading in PSP7, as I really like tool shading (no particular reason why XD). Sooo, I'd like some feedback.
My first doll in about two months. ^_^
This took about an hour in total.

The hair is so pretty

and the ribbon so shineh

one thing you should do is sit back after you finish the outline of something
Make sure it flows smoothly
One of the strands of ribbon is a shaped oddly
But otherwise
this is really cute

If you're talking about the ribbon strand on the far left, I was thinking the same thing. x_o;
I don't like taking much time on dolls, because I really quickly get sick of looking at my art and end up deleting half the things I do. I wish I could get out of this habit (any tips?)
But this one I got done quick enough to end up liking. XD So I'm glad you like it (except the oddly shaped ribbon piece. XDD)

I would say that one of the bows on the ribbon is too pointed.
They should bend and smooth out, instead of being a pointy bit.
But other than that, I really like the hair and shading in general.
Also, along hte hairline, you should try to shade the skin to keep it true to shadows.
I know I used to forget this all the time, but you have to put the shadow under the hair, or it looks like a cut/paste wig. ^^;
Same thing with the clothing.
Shadows are good.

What a novel idea. xd
I used to shadow a lot, but I've forgotten it these days.
I don't pixel often, except for my edit shop. xd But dolling is fun and I like to get into the swing of it if only during the holidays.
I don't know why.
But thank you for the tips on the ribbon and the shadowing. ^___^ <333
