Habitat: Farms
Diet: Corn

Size: Slightly bigger than an actual turkey
Turkey Gryphons are...interesting. The breed was developed for its meat, and has taken on the appearance of a bizarre, fleshy turkey cat. The meat of the Turkey Gryphon is said to taste like regular turkey, but juicier. In some parts of the world, the meat is forbidden, as the consumption of gryphons is a serious taboo. Amongst Patrian humans they are popular for their extra set of drumsticks.
Turkey Gryphons are incredibly stupid creatures, with none of the nimbleness of their wild cousins. On most farms, they are kept in coops as if they were birds. In fact, it is easy to forget that they aren't birds at all. They have retained one catlike trait from their gryphonic heritage- they purr. Perhaps it is a defense mechanism meant to appeal to the Humans' love of cute and fuzzy things.
