The Seabat Dragons are evolved from a small breed of dragons that returned to the sea and evolved fins. The Seabats are part of a very prolific evolutionary line, their cousin species are easily identified. Costal, flying dragons of the same size can be found occupying the niche normally taken by seagulls. A more distant relative, the Reefwyrm, shares its environment with the Seabat as a scavenger, taking the remains of the Seabats' prey as it sinks to the bottom of the sea.
Because of their cute, almost feline facial structure, they are popular in art and literature, and commonly featured in the aquariums of the rich.
