The Lyre's Minotaur is named so for both the shape of its horns and its physiological resemblance to a cow. Minotaur Dragons are herbivorous, and mostly harmless, but will charge blindly when provoked. Although it eats only vegetable matter, it retains the sharp canine teeth of its ancestors. Its claws have over time evolved into dull hooves.
Minotaurs in the modern world are all domesticated. There are many pastoral societies amongst the Superior Nagas of Lacerta who rely on herds of Minotaurs for their survival. As reptiles, Minotaur Dragons cannot be milked and bear no wool. Instead, they are raised primarily for their meat, which bears a flavor similar to beef and a texture much like that of poultry. Minotaur-raising communities supplement their diets by foraging and trading Minotaur horns with other societies in exchange for food. Minotaur Dragons also produce a very strong, fire-resistant leather. Minotaur leather is often produced with the scales left intact, and is highly prized by warriors.
The infamous Dragonskin Panties are said to be made from Minotaur leather.
