Well I'm sure I'm going to leave something out, but that's alright.
Some of my favorite anime series are:
Ruroni Kenshin
Ranma 1/2
Tenchi Muyo
Fruits Basket
Full Metal Alchemist
Love Hina
Chobits
Risky Safety
Key Metal Idol
Utena
Berserk
Well there are a couple, there are a lot I like, but most of these really meant something to me when I watched them.

I'll just go with series and only the top most of the list of my fav's.
Avatar the Last Air Bender (if we as Otaku except it as anime thus it is so.)
Robotech (My very first anime, epic full of action and drama.)
Ranma 1/2 (I'm am so drawn in by the goings on in Nermia and anything created by Rumiko Takahashi she just keeps slaying me with her work.)
Naruto (I am somehow tuned into the formula of this show to a eirie degree.)
Ai Yori Aoshi (So embarasingly romantic.)
Fruits Basket (Watch it and learn why its great to switch male gender attendance up in a romantic comdey especially when they are all so pretty.)
Tenchi Muyo (reintroduced me to the wonders of anime)
Lupin the III (apparently the most succeful anime franchise ever)
Voltron (another one from my childhood)
Here is Greenwood (my absolute favorite anime romance comes together in this series)
Yu Yu Hakusho (I can't seem to get enough of martial arts styles ki blasts and demons.)
Dragon Ball A to Z minus the GT (I get razed for this a lot.) razz
The Hakkenden The Legend of the Eight Dog Warriors (so intense and may very well be my favorite anime.)
Hamtaro- the ham hams are so cute, well and it reminds me of shows I used to watch on Nickelodeon but just vaguely enough to tease me cause I can't recall the actual names of the shows in mind.

both Vampire Hunter D movies, any Miyazaki films, The Pet Shop of Horrors, Hellsing Ultimate, Mirage of Blaze, Gensoumaden Saiyuki, b*****d!!, Slayers, Sailor Moon, and many, many, many more!
