The door leads you to the lower realms. The dark realms. There is no true light here, only mockeries of it that allow you to gaze upon the horror of your fate. This world of every possible nightmare has now become yours and your fate lies on your ability to survive in the black castle. Only in this place can you find even the smallest of havens... but you will not find saftey. The lands abound with twisted lifeforms and antilifeforms. Even from your bleak perch, you can see all manner of unholy beings swarming about the skies and the lands and even in the molten river below you. With some manner of luck, you make it into the doors of the castle and find a map of this realm...

The Region that you have just escaped from is marked as the plains of desalation. This area has been so utterly twisted by chaos and war and dark magics, that it hardly resembled the natural earth it once was. Everything is a warp and hard mixture of quicksand, crystal, rock, and gravel. Volcanoes spring forth in a matter of minutes to keep the devastation constant as they continuosly churn the land into an ever changing minefield.
To the north is a great sea of graves. far into the horizon you can see nothing but endless tombstones, crypts, mausoliums, statues, and open pits. The ground itself is crumbled tombstones, lieing ontop of one another so that there is no sign of ground. This is for the best as any place that has been dug into shows nothing under the graves but bones. You wouldnt be suprised if you went fifty feet underground and still found only corpses from god knows when.
In the west You see mists. They are blanketing what seems to be a city... no a jungle... no again it seems to be both. A vast metropolis is in ruins before you. The city has long since crumbled and given in to the furious powers of nature. Thick marshes have buried the city in what muse be the biggest grave of them all. Prehaps now you know where all those dead beings came from. The only sign of life in this place is not freindly to the likes of you.
Finaly in the east you hope to find at least one way to escape this hell. But your last hope is your bleakest. The east is far more flooded than the west. A black ocean spills into your view at the edge of a magnificent cliff. The jagged rocks that form the cliffside from top to bottom also provide huge pikes at the bottom. If this was not already a hopeless path, then the sight of a large fortess overlooking the black sea has completed it. Now it seems there is no way out of this realm... except possibly in the castle itself.
