As of now my faverate charicter in the seires, I can't wait the get to the Sellsword books
there's one thing that kinda bothered me though is it just me, or is Drizzt's additude about Artemis unnessisarly callous? even before Legacy (where I am) Drizzt speaks of him like he's the sorce of all the evil on Faerun and that he shoild be hunted down and killed. In fact, it's almost like an ego trip for Drizzt sence he hasn't tracked down and killed Artemis, that makes him the better man... keep in mind that this is all before Legacy, within the time of the Icewind Dale trilogy he doesn't really act all that evil. He what? Tracks down Regus and kidnaps Catti-bre? Finding Regus was his job, and if anything he was rather nice to Cat while she was held captive consitering she would probually been lilled off a few times if he didn't intervein... sweatdrop worst thing he really does is cut off Regus's fingers and kills that crew of sailors <.< Granted, he's still Evil, but not nearly as much as Drizzt thinks...

Well Drizzt does talk of him that way, but he is afraid of him in ways. He is afraid that Artemis is what he will become if he loses his morals, as well as thinking of him as his alter ego. Artemis is in a way Drizzt's gollum. There are other things, but I won't ruin the rest of the series.

that why it annoys me Drizzt attacks Artemus instead of acually addressing the thing he has a problem with, it's like he's avoiding the issue as for Artemus' content harassment, while I don't aprove of it I can certainly understand where he's coming from after training his whole life to be good at fighting only to run into someone that who seems just as good with only half the effort... wouldn't you want some clarification?

Well I am at a stop still because I am not with the whole ruin the series thing. But yes there is some clarification needed at that point in the series. And yes it irks me that Drizzt does shirk on the direct answer to the problem. I think he is just confuzed, they both are.

Let us all remember though, Artemis, according to the D&D rulebook I think it was, is aligned Lawful Evil, believe it or not. So yea, as said, he's just doing his job, even if it does mean he's killing people. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do!

Dazed0711 he has a life outside his job I mean sorry for the confusion. Perhaps I just read too little, but I've yet to find any outside-job related life. All I know is that he seems to live at Pasha Pook's place. That's about it. confused

That's about it. confused that's what I'm saying during the Icewind Dale series half of it he seems to care about nothing other then his job where the other half it's half about his job and half his growing obsession with Drizzt then even in the Legacy series he only really goes after Drizzt agein because he was hired to do so (I still can't help but wonder how the Drow knew of his involvement with Drizzt in the first place confused )

I haven't read Sellswords yet... but talking about Sellswords, I know he gets this near-artifact level sword in that series, but what was his old sword?
thoughout the first book in the Legacy series they keep mentioning hos sword giving off a "greenish-blue glow" almost insitantly, any one know what it was saposed to be enchanted with?

I don't think there is a deep explanation.... I don't even think it gives much more than a greenish glow... I will have to look into it.
