Since there's been a lot of interest in me holding another one of these contests, I've decided to make a catchall topic here. Anyone who wants to be a part of the next contest like this please post here and say what you want to be notified for. I'll be making a mule to run the next contests on instead of my main account, so that I can have help running it. If you post here I'll send you a friend request on my contest mule so that you can be on the mailing list.
I'm looking for...
Contest Themes:
If you have an idea you'd like to see done as a contest post it here. The only criteria is that it needs to be able to have multiple categories or themes. If I use your contest idea, you get a free entry, and if you aren't a contestant (like if you're a judge) you get 200g (or whatever the current entry fee is).
Through the Decades (1910, 20, etc. themed avatars)
Cliche avatars (preppy, goth, punk, ganguro, etc)
Fruits (apple, orange, pineapple, kiwi, etc)
Zodiac signs
Meal Courses (Appetizer, Meat Course, Dessert)
Dessert Contest (ice cream, pie, pastry, coffee, cheesecake, cake)
Mythological Figures (suggestion from Phoenyx Aura)
Animal Kingdom (Lion, Elephant, snake, house cat, dog, Shark, goldfish, etc. -suggestion from Dino)
Occupations (Fortune 500 CEO, Fast Food Worker, Stripper, Athlete, Scientist, Movie Star, Politician, Activist, Chef, Policeman, Criminal -suggestion from Dino)

I would love to be either a contestant or a judge. I am currently judging Some Other Mercy and Gloom Glitter's Project Runway 3 and I was a contestant and guest judge for PR 2. I'll help in anyway XDD

Animals. I'm not talking going to the shop and buying the penguin suit. Rather, you put together an avatar that represents the essence of the animal. My friend Heartage had made an avatar (can't find it now gonk ) to enter in the avatar arena. Her entry was supposed to be a cow. She put on the cowbell,the demon horns (long), the reindeer shoes, etc. It looked rather cute, and represented "cow" rather well. Maybe if you had like ... the major groups of animals represented (reptiles, birds, amphibians, mammals, fish). For subcategories you could do like prehistoric, modern day, land, aquatic and sea.
'Nother one based on that sort of idea would be occupations. In categories for occupation, you could go like blue collar, white collar, self employed, and unemployed. xp But like with the animals idea, you can't go out and snag the dancer outfit and say "lol stripper."
An easy one is flags of the world. That one's almost limitless. Like, maybe with the Japanese flag, you'd have to make a red and white avatar, but with red concentrated towards the centre of the avatar.
Alcohol contest. >_> Champagne, beer, wine, liquers, liquors, etc. <_<;;
Forum avatars? Like, how would you best articulate what the forums and subforums of Gaia should be? Maybe if you're representing the Exchange, you wear a suit and tie, and carry a breifcase? Or like, if you're representing ED Politics, you make an avatar that looks like George Washington. XD

Anyways I had this one contest about 10 months ago.
It was called Mr./Ms. Solar System.
It was the planets each representing a colour
Mercury - Brown
Venus - Yellow
Earth - Rainbow
Mars - Rainbow
Jupiter - Red
Saturn - Orange
Uranus - Blue
Neptune - Green
Pluto - Purple
Planet X - Black, White, Gray
You could totally revemp it ^_^! <3
