biggrin im in percussion too. (used to play drums etc in beginning band..)
i play mallet/keyboard percussion.. does anyone else play or know how to play xylophones, marimbas, etc.? :3

im a perc too.
i just havent been in the forums for a while.
anyway yea in our band the main mallet perc is me cuz everyone else hates them and would rather try to fit into a tuba than play them besides me so yea MUSIC x tears to rainbows i do play mallets too.

Trizen im a perc too. i just havent been in the forums for a while. anyway yea in our band the main mallet perc is me cuz everyone else hates them and would rather try to fit into a tuba than play them besides me so yea MUSIC x tears to rainbows i do play mallets too. yay, that's cool! biggrin is your perc/drumline kinda big? cuz ours including bells, have 11 ppl. surprised ghetto, very ghetto. so are you saying the drummers dont wanna read music? well that sucks how you say everyone hates mallet perc. everyone in our band kinda either admires it, or just thinks of it fondly.. 9_9 but im glad youve taken it on. i think mallet perc is 'amazing'. and later on, using four sticks. its just fascinatinggg. xD can you tell me, why they dont like mallets? neutral is it deafining? (sorry, i talked too much).

What is your favorite mallet instrument? I'd have to say Marimba, though Vibraphone comes in as a close second. Though I do play other instruments. The only forum I don't have a right to post in is...none actually...

(sorry, i talked too much). the real reason the dont like it is because 1. they cant read notes (that and they dont want to even try) 2. they like playin rythems better than playing a rythmic tune and 3. they say its too hard (which is just bullcrud) so i hope that answers ur question

I am a percussionist too.. big band geek too..lol yea.. I can play mallet percussion and battery percussion..I do all kinds of bands..and I love every minute of it..lol.. it's a lot of fun! I ve been playing for 3 years and I play with one of the best h.s. drumlines around...lol.. LHDL 4 ever...lol but yea.. I love playing music and am planing to go to college for music, God willing, I already got accepted into a music program and got a scholarship so thats something to praise God about ( I am a Christain if you haven't already guessed..lol) but yea.. Love being a drummer! ninja

I am a percussionist, I get stuck playing everything. Usually cymbals and I hate it. Or I play mallets which I hate too. My favoite is bass <3
