I was just wondering, what is the best type of saddle to get? (like what brand and what not) which is the best cheapest saddle to get? I'm not really going to buy a saddle anytime soon, but just wondering.
plus, has anyone heard of the ian d. miller saddle? I use this one at my riding school, and its my favorite!

Depends on what you want to use it for. Generally, Wintec saddles, which are snythetic, tend to be excellent saddles for the price, and require only light care. Many inexpenisve saddles or saddles that come in 'starter packages' tend to be made of cheap leather, and are often not made well for both the rider and the horse.
I have a Wintec Pro dressage saddle that is wonderfully comfortable for both me and the horse I ride, and it didn't break the bank, either.

Generally, yes, European saddles, especially from Germany and England, will be more expensive than their American counterparts, even though some American companies make good english saddles as well.
It's best to steer away from saddles made in the Middle East, unless you are simply desparate for some sort of saddle, since the leather is cheap and the saddles are not well crafted. Most 'economy' saddles will be from the Middle East.

Sadly, probably not.
You can often find some good deals at tack resale stores, but those types of shops are few and far between.
You can probably get a bridle for 60-70 dollars. sweatdrop

Hmmmmmmmm I see and well like I said before my mom got me a Western Saddle for 100 dollars but stupid crows tore the saddle right by the horn stupid birds. scream

thats what i thought...but i was just wonderin'. My neighbor once got a really really expensive saddle from a magazine (which was kind of stupid becuase they don't even really ride..) But the saddle was a complete piece of garbage, the first time they used it , it fell apart.... rofl i thought it was funny becuase its just what they do.....it was such a stupid decision...

Well...that sounds really rather odd to me. Expensive saddles do not fall apart. o_O I would have to know more about what kind of magazine, what brand (or maker) of the saddle, etc.
The only thing that I could think of is that they bought a faux-saddle - a saddle for pure decoration.
