Crimbo is almost upon us! Last year, during the month of December, everyone had an Advent calendar which gave you an item every day up until Crimbo, so make sure to log in every day this year.
Also, last year, there was a new area where we got to fight against reindeer or elves. There were lots of new items and two unique trophies. This stuff happened a bit later in the month.
Happy Crimbo!

There was also a workshop where you could make items, every day, santa got less drunk and remembered more of the stuff his elves made.

Yup, there's a new quest! I'm not going to post spoilers (at least not yet), but here are some hints on how to start the new quest. I'm typing it in white so that you don't inadvertently read it, but if you want to read it, just highlight the section below with your mouse.
Somewhere in the mountains (I think) there's a lonely elf. Go talk to him -- he might have some useful information. Also, when you use your Advent Calendar, you'll two things on the first day, not just one.
(Highlight just above this line.)

And the quest continues! (Spoiler below.)
Remember the nightmares? You'll need another after finishing the first quest to get to the next place.
Meanwhile, anyone here lucky enough to get the new Mr. A familiar?

I plan to buy the familiar eventually, but I haven't yet (been too busy with all the Crimbo stuff to do). It looks pretty good, but I doubt it will replace my cymbal-playing monkey. smile
This Crimbo event has been loads of fun!

Here are some tips for surviving the third part of the Crimbo event. They're spoilers, of course, so it's all hidden in case you don't want to see it.
Spoilers:
All the monsters in all three areas are scaled to your power level -- the first area is slightly weaker than you, the second area is equal to you, and the third area is tougher than you (and the amount of stats you get per fight are scaled accordingly). So, if the monsters are tough, you need to weaken yourself a bit.
Here's sort of how it works. Their level, HP, and amount of stats they give you are based on your moxie. Their strength and how much they hit you for are based on your moxie. Their defense and how much they reduce your damage is based on your muscle.
So, your best bet is to have similar muscle and moxie. There's nothing you can do to stop them from hitting you, but that's your best bet for them hitting you softer. If you are trying to make levels, you want high moxie, to increase how many stats you get from each fight, but that also makes them hit you harder. If you are a moxie class, and thus your moxie is already much higher than your muscle, try using your Moxious Maneuver -- you might be able to kill them in one hit.
Of course, damage reduction items may be very good for you, too.
Lots of people are using this season to get to the level 30 trophies for DB and AT, but it takes millions of meat. You buy all the stuff to buff your moxie as high as possible -- I've seen moxies in the 4000s, and a fight like that gets you 800 moxie stats.
End spoilers.
