I would prefer to trade half of my lifespan to get the shinigami eyes....ur life might even be shorter when u don't have the shinigami eyes(if u've been caught by the police u'll also be executed)....but if u have the shinigami eyes u could easily kill anyone who stands in ur way...lol

as we all know half of our life is just to much for a shinigami eyes
i myself values my life more than anything -
yeah i don't believe in dying with honor
but i do believe in god xd

lol, I think it's a ridiculous idea. If you don't know the person's real name, then you must not hate them enough to kill them. I think we all prefer this option the the one that "you'd have to be pretty stupid to not be able to get a real name from a person".
Yeah, and there's a chance that, in your half-life that you gave away, you would be able to discover a real name, etc.

Hell no. I value my life more. Plus, you never really say that we would get a death note in the first place. Even so, I say no. I doubt I would have the heart to kill.

Actually If ur in a situation like Light-kun did...i think it might be easier and safer if u have the shinigami eyes...
So...If you are being chased by an unknown killer, do you think you have a chance to ask him What's his name before he kills you??..so i really prefer to have a shinigami eyes...

in my theory tho...
you cannot change the fate situated to you...
if you will die in 30 years you will die in 30 years
if you will die in 15 years heck you will die in 15 years
- example -
if your life span is about 20min
and you have spotted the killer
lets say you do have a shinigami eyes eventually u'll die at 10min
lets say the killer barge in and stab you immediately after you input his/her name
(maybe he/she do know that he/she will die in the next 40s so in his last resort stab you)
lets say you don't have the shinigami eyes you'll die at exactly 20min
(maybe the killer is just playing safe, that making a move will make him suspicious)
altho in these two scenario -
the killer died in the first scenario
while not in the second scenario
