Kurai let her nose pick up the whiff of the smoke the had been started by Shawn's fire. Normally, when someone stupid enough to start a fire in the woods when their were so many nin about caught her attention, she usually just robbed them for everything she had. Her gain, their loss.

Her weight shifted, allowing the weapon on her back to move slightly. Kurai let a small fiendish grin slid across her face, she enjoyed messing with people. It was sort of her recreation time, aside from all the other things she found pleasure in doing. She tied her hair back in a loose ponytail, and took off to the find the origin of the smoke.

Kurai's instinct took her to the source of the billowing smoke that she had seen throughout he thick trees of the forest. She had silently made her way about 10 feet away from Shawn's camp site, and was crouched low to the ground hidden among the mass of bushes that were scattered around the forest. Her violet eyes watched as Shawn sat oblivious to her location. OR..at least she HOPED he was oblivious to where she was hidden. Then again Kurai had never really been caught before she had intended to be. Perhaps she was getting cocky about her own stealth abilities, or maybe Shawn was just ignorant when it came to sensing people, let along someone like Kurai sneaking up on him. Whatever it was, Kurai didn't seem to care. She continued to remain low to the grass floor of the forest, and waited for her opportune moment to pop out of her hiding spot.

Kurai blinked her eyes rapidly, and remained hidden from a moment shocked to a mild degree of silence. She shook her head and cursed under her breath.
" Dammit..."

She arose from the ground and brushed herself off. A scowl ridden across her face, she crossed her arms. Ready to grab her weapon at any moment. In case Shawn was fool enough to attack her. Sure, she was girl, sure women tend to sometimes be weaker than males. But Kurai wasn't necessarily one to be taken lightly when it came to fighting.
" Dammit...If humans couldn't sense chakra your possessions would have been mine you fool! But since the cats out of the bag. I'm Kurai Shinzo, grade-A thief, and ranked as a missing-nin from the Yukigakure. Be lucky. Your one of the few people who's caught me before I could strike."
She glared at Shawn, still cross about how he had noticed her.
Perhaps..I underestimated this one. Still..his flow of chakra seems to be stronger than other people. Irregular almost...how very peculiar..
she pondered for a moment to herself. Shawn's chakra did seem rather awkward to her, in a way not human.

Kurai scoffed, as she caught the money in her hand. She glared at him as he walked. Then growled under her breath and ran up and ahead of him and stopped.
" Just who the hell do you think you are anyway?! I don't care if you are a rouge ninja! Your not the only one who's deadly either. So quit talking like your the only damn on on the planet got?! Don't pity me, I don't need your stupid money keep it! And what do you mean by fate? I don't believe in any of that phony crap..." she paused for a moment then mused in a barely audible mumble," It's probably because I'm a girl..."
She continued to glare at Shawn, thoughts running through her mind.
Just who does this kid think he is anyway. How old is he? Like 16? Pssh, I've got 3 years of seniority on him. Who''s he to give me crap like that? I don't want his stupid money, and I don't want his pity either. Besides! What's their to pity?! It's not like I NEED to steal... I just enjoy messing with the people stupid enough to let me take their belongings. Saying he's deadly. Please..that's a opinion on himself. Besides if he was rouge, there would be wanted poster scoured through-out these woods. Give me a break..
The mind of Kurai Shinzo was a vile place. You could say it was the only place were she REALLY spoke her mind. Giving every thought it's own emotions, weather it was hate, sadness, or joy. Each had it's own feeling, and each was like a punch in the face to those with weak fragile personalities.

Kurai smirked. Maybe this guy wasn't so bad. She glanced at the sword on her back. It was a family heirloom, and she treasured it greatly. To most people surprise she was able to wield it with a deadly speed, given the fact that it nearly weighed about 111 lbs. She thought for a moment, then walked in front of Shawn again. She was quiet the persistent thing for a 18 year old. A grin slid across her face.
" You know what? Your quiet the ninja I can see. Mind if I tag along with you for a while? It's not like I have anything better to do, or a home to go to."
She waited for her response, at least hoping that she could tag along. To be honest, Kurai Shinzo hadn't been around people int he longest time, and this Shawn guy seemed to be the type that she wouldn't mind hanging about with.
" So what do you say? I could help you on your so called mission if you'd like. For one thing, if your heading over to the Konohagakure, your going to wrong direction. The way that your headed will take you straight to the sea-side boarder that separates this continent from the Yukigakure. My village. The one that lies int he land of the snow. So in other words it looks like your lost, and could use a navigator. " She smirked once again, loving the fact that she had a excellent sense of direction when it came to traveling. Aside from that Kurai just loved being right about practically everything. Plus it was another bribe to getting him to take her along.
