The adolescent female padded away from her devoured rabbit carcass, blood staining her maw untouched in the blackness of night. Her time in the area had stained her eyes an odd color. At nightfall, they appeared as two shining beacons of lime-yellow light, marking her place in the odd landscape of the wasteland. Jewels licked her maw as she picked up her pace into a steady trot, covering distance by the light thrown from her own eyes as well as her sense of smell. She knew the smell of a recent kill could bring others about, and it was in her best interest to move along quickly.

A pair of light violet eyes gleamed in the darkness as the male moved through the Wasteland. His nose was twitching every so often, he could smell blood, and he wanted to figure out what it was. He hoped it was food. All of a sudden, he saw something out of of the corner of his eyes. It looked like two gleaming yellowish orbs, maybe eyes. The male was so perplexed with this that he stopped walking, eyes focusing on the curious things. The notion of food forgotten for the moment, the male picked up a easy lope towards the two gleaming orbs, which seemed to be moving at a steady, fairly quick pace.

The instant the two glowing orbs had appeared in the distance, Mvyma had become interested. Following them downwind through the night had become a mission, and when they had stopped she had begun to merely dismiss them as phantoms of her own imagination, which had seemed to be running wild lately. The bright pelted female had finally, however, caught the scent of blood and of a hyena, seeing a dead animal in the light of those eyes, for surely it must be.
Finally they had started to move again. She followed faithfully after the glow, pink eyes glimmering as the nomad followed. She passed close to the kill, sidestepping easily. One would think she would have stopped to eat, but food was really the last thing on her mind. There were more pressing questions at hand.

The young hyena paused in her travels, standing stock-still for a few breaths before bursting into an extended lope. There was something behind her, and she didn't intend to let it catch up to her without a bit of a fight. Hopefully it was just after the bit of kill that she had left behind.
Her paws scrabbled through the sand under feet as she bounded up the side of a hill, planning to turn and hunker down. As soon as she reached the crest she was on her stomach, spinning around to face the direction she had come from as she crouched low to the ground. It was only a small incline, but if something was coming after her it gave her leverage to jump it. She pulled her lips back into a low growl as her muscles tensed - a warning.
