my sugestion:
try the classes, pick one that's got a bit more than two pages. You could either come in and shout "hello" or somethng of the sort. from there some one will probably assist you.
and btw, you make up your character in the 'introduce yourself' sub forum. if you need help with the profile, go through the others and get the basics and then expand.

Yes, like Phan-chan said, you should probably start by posting in classrooms, dorms, or reacreational threads. Very first, though, I'd read all rules concerning the guild and such like that. Oh, and for the sake of yourself, I'd try to type with correct grammer, punctuation, and the such if I were you. ^_^
