The juvinille was laying on a rock, bored as per usual. He was washing today though, not making lizards dance to their death or changing the colours of normal boring gray rocks to bright pink. No today the God was looking like a normal lion, a gray lion. He looked rather boring really.
He stopped washing his paw and then looked up at the sky, "Oh how boring.. why can't life be more interesting? More beautiful? More poetic?" He sighed and laid his head on his paws, oh how boring!

Hadithi had been 'grounded' on the African plains for about a month now. She wanted to see the outside world from the heavens, so she had started her descent from the skies to the earth. It was different then what she was told as a child, however. The land was so barren. Dry grasses plagued the area with no drop of water in sight. The sad this was, this was paradise for those who didn't know any better!
The bird-legged female had been mistaken for many things while on this land. A 'wonderment' from the cubs she had managed to meet up with, a 'horror' from the gods, anything you could think of.
This is what led the female to disguise her beautiful body in the form of a regular lion. Her golden mask she wore seemed to melt into her skin, leaving just a golden pelt across her pelt. Her wings folded tightly into her skin, allowing the pelt to be like a regular lion. As for her bird feet, well...That was the most difficult for Hadi to hide. It took a lot of energy to disguise the main features of her body that she rarely had enough left to use it on her long bird legs.
Though today, it seemed she was able to master the covering. With her time spent, she moved slowly towards the area a juvenille occupied. Unknown to the other, she sat on the ground, stretching her 'new' body before rolling to her side and basking in the sun.
Okay, so this land had /some/ good qualities.

Kazi got up and shook his growing mane, one of the few things that stayed the same when he made himself look 'normal'. Stupid mortals, why didnt they have wings?
He shook his head and jumped off the rock before noticing the female, maybe he could work some of his charm with her? He had decided to try some mortal ways of having fun and as he was reborn on land he had completely forgotten that Juves didn't flirt, well he wasn't normal, he was a God, the exception. What pretty lady didn't want to flirt with a big (well small) boy like him?
"Hello there miss." He smiled softly, trying the innocent boy look to begin with.

Her eyes landed on the small(er) form. She gave an amused smile, purring slightly as the other spoke. "Hello there sir." She greeted formally, a purr ringing thoroughout her voice. She was a god, but it didn't mean she was superior amongst the other breed. "May I inquire as to what your name is young man?" Hadithi sang almost birdlike. Then again, she was considered 'halfbird'.

Kazi smiled and bowed his head at her politeness, it was good to see one with sense around these parts.
"I am Kazi'Malika, your name is?" He looked at her, his blue eyes running over her body with such precision it was as if he was looking through her mask, which in a way he was, as, like always, he was deciding which colour to turn her, however when gods and goddesses wore masks it was harder for him as he knew not the original colours.
He said nothing about his problem, after all he was appearing mortal as well, unless she saw the occassional grain of sand turn an odd colour as he hummed quietly.

Nothing was out of the ordinary for this other. He was just like her in a sense, a wanderer. Only she was immortal, and he was not! It /could/ be fun to mess with the boys head, but how would she do so? "I am Hadithi." The gryphon disguised grinned. "G---Just a wanderer of the land." She covered up. That wouldn't have been good. Her revealing she was the goddess of myths? That would be bad.

Kazi just stared at her for a while. "You are hiding something." He stated it. He found that sometimes seers had a habit of singing an odd song so maybe thats what it was? He wasn't all that bothered.
"It is nice to meet you Hadithi. Been around here long?" He thought about it a little while, he had no friends, maybe this could be his first friend, he would just have to keep himself as secret as he possibly could. Oh he loved to show off, being mortal would be hard.

"If I had something to hide, don't you think I wouldn't be around here so you couldn't figure it out?" Hadi said, looking down towards her 'paws'. How regular lions could deal with the burden of FOUR paws, rather than her normal two was a mystery to her. She preferred her bird feet. Oh yes, that she did.
"Here, no. This land in general...yes." By this land, she meant the Earth, rather than the heavens.
"Like i said, I wander. You however," At this she looked down. "You look like a little youngster. Tell me, where is your family?" Hadithi asked.

He wasn't convinced in the slightest, he knew she was hiding something, the songs she sang were different to those that were of a normal lion. Maybe she was a hybrid? No that wasn't it either. Damn females.
"You are odd and lieing but whatever, I have no family and no need for one. I am alone, and I am not that young either!" Lies. Well not completely only the last bit about not being young. His body was growing larger all the time but his mind was not, it was staying the same age it had always been, a cubs.

"I am not lying." She said, sticking her nose straight into the air like a stuck-up princess.
"Please. If you aren't young, then I /must/ be over one hundred." She snorted, the sarcasm dripping from her words. Her words weren't false /technically/. Gods did seem to age more differently then mortals, so it could be the fact that she was over one hundred years of age... However, teh female did hold a small smile towards the male. "Alone?" At this her ears drooped. "Everyone needs a family you know!" She chirped, the bird side of the gryphon showing. "And everyone has one!" She grinned.

Nope not him. He had no family, no mother or father, he just existed. He wasn't even born though it is true that he did not originate around these parts but still he had no family. Belief in him created him, however the belief died and he moved on before he could. That was when his body started to grow.
"I know of no family, maybe I was such a horror mine dumped me. What about you? Where is your family?" He had the right to ask as well, snotty female!

"That's horrible. I know mo...lions are horrid sometimes, but to dump off a child is just wrong." She slipped, almost. "My family?" Her ears perked up. Now that he mentioned it, she couldn't remember much about her family either. Perhaps it was just the mortal body she was in. Oh well, better bs the situation then say she has no family either, right? "My family lives far away. In...mountains that touch the clouds!" Partly right? She was a goddess, so her parents would have to be of god descent. And the gods live in the heavens which touch the skies!

He nodded though he still didn't believe or trust her. Why should he when her song is so odd?
"So why are you here? If your family lives in such a wonderful place. Its not the best place down here." He let his body collapse to the ground, so now laying on his side he looked up at her with a somewhat cheeky smile on his face. Oh he could be funny sometimes, that was for sure.

"Hmm?" She blinked, sitting down as he laid. "Oh, I don't know. I'm not going to be in my parents care forever you know. I thought it was time I ventured out on my own, you know?" The female said, smiling. "So tell me Kazi'Malika, what do you do around here for fun. Surely it isn't as dull as you say it is?" The female asked, glancing at teh cheeky grin the male was giving her.

Damn Females! He couldn't tell her that he liked making Lizards and rats dance to their deaths and the slowly he was able to control a little larger animals too or that he changed colours of things.. or... or... Damn females!
"Erm, there isn't much to do like I said its boring down here on the ground. Nothing to do really.. just hunt and thats about it." Yeah that answer sounded reasonably normal. It was hard being mortal how did they cope? Odd creatures, very odd.
