Welcome to the official FFX-2 thread this isn't the best game to have been brought out on the ps2 but it did follow on a a story which we were deeply wanting to be finalized. There wasn't many mini games and they did remove the best feature from the game with was us controlling blitzball sad the characters were fun.
Well now for my view because i feel bias on the top lol, i hated the game, it was nice moving on the storyline but at the same time the characters were bloody annoying and did get on my nerves and with the massage bit with leblanc that felt like it should be in a blue movie with all the oohs and aahhs lol. The ending scene well the good ending was good thought that did make the whole damn game worthwhile to me ^_^

It may not be the best i have to agree but it's one of my faverites and not because i'm a guy. I also never got on with personly handeling the blitz players. And yes some Charaters were really annoying. like Leblanc and Brother. But even out of this they brought out brilliant new characters such as Paine and Nooj. I guess Paines coolness through out reminds me in some ways of the conection i felt with Squall in FFVIII. but at the same time i feel sorry for her being put in with a bunch of possable lunys. Rikku and Yuna really have their annoying moments but they also have their moments which you don't see in previous FF games.
Disasterific success?

I confess i have Paine on my desktop at home. But not out of love. it's because i can relate so easily with her and her view of the mad world around her with the world i see everytime i step outside. one of her best quotes. "I guess Ex Summoners come in all flavers"
not that i quite agree with her ethos of actuly tasteing them but you get the point.

*nods* she is such a wicked character and her sense of humour is great concidering how much the game was a chick flick we really did need someone with her status in the game to keep it level headed.

Level headed is one word for it. down right obsessed with remaining sane at all times is another. but even so i really do like Paine as a leading Character. PolarisSama even plays Paine in an RP that a few people are involved with.

I'm liking the game so far. I've almost finished it. But uhh I'm not getting 100% because I screwed up. I do like the return of the job class system and some of the refrences to older FF games such as King VERMIN! (FFVII refrence) and the Dark Knight sphere (FFIV, Cecil).

I think the game is pretty nice; and I liked doing my double Gunner chain combo. It's also nice to see the job classes return.

The Story Line was good. The Battle system was okay... (Spoilers are in white font, highlight to see)
I hated the fact that you had to fight your own aeons that you only summon in the last game.
I hated the fact that Yuna is no longer the nice girl but pretending to be something else.
Rikku... PUT SOME CLOTHES ON GIRL!!! >.< I cant even show all my friends who dont know much of my 'nerdyness' her berserker dress sphere.
Paine. I had no problem with her.
The percent thing, I hated the most because what you choose, changes the story of the game.
Shinra. Nice name. Sounds familar.
Brother. Stop hitting on your cousin. Not cool. But you are doing very well in English. biggrin
Buddy. No problem.
Wakka. Why did you name your kids that name! I wanted you to name it Chappu but a girly one!?
Lulu. Are you even pregnant in that corset?
Leblanc. Same thing I told Rikku, and get a life. Its just a guy.
Logos and whose the fat guy. You're idiots.
Lenne. No problem
Shuyin. Okay... so you're a hippie. PEACE MAN!
Nooj. HI SUPERMAN! and Sephiroth!
Gippal. Ladies man... gotta laugh at him
Baralai. Uhh... you sound like you possessed. Oh yeah... you were. And when were you purposing to Yuna? Hmmm???
Kimahri. Cool job! You deserve it!
The idiot Ronso wanting to kill the Guado (forgot his name). GET A LIFE!!! NO GENOCIDE!!!
Guado. Please come home.
Uuummm.... I think thats it. Sorry if I'm ranting but it's true.

Ranting is good. But alot of people like the New Yuna compared to the one we see in FFX. Maybe it's because she's somhow stronger within her self. More independent.
Lulu: "I'm not there so you've spread your wings"
Yuna: "Maybe"
Lulu: "So you have spread your wings"
But it also might have somthing to do with getting over the loss of Tidus. And then her drive to find Sphere's of him?

Baralai wasn't proposing to Yuna. In a scene in the Japanese FFX:International it's revealed the Yuna is to marry to chairman of New Yevon's son (or something). If you go to Bevelle in Chapter 1, Baralai explains that the chairman and his son wanted too much power and were made to step down.

The Son of The chairman was ment to marry Yuna not Baralai. But after Seymour New Yeven still thinks it can control Yuna. Wishful thinking. Yuna's got more chance of Marrying Gippel and she doesn't even like Gippel up too close.

I may be going Senile at 21 but most FF games i've played i remember them a bit like a book. That sceane with Gippel standing over Yuna when she goes to apply for the dig. (you know there's a theory about Gippels other eye)
