I have one, two, four, five and six. I have completed none i find them too flipping hard. The older games in my eyes are made much much harder than the ps1 and ps2 versions. Exspecially the boss's before they seemed easy to me in the later games, but after trying to play the earlier games and losing badly i got shocked lol

You just need to gain more levels, and buy better gear, and put the ATB on wait mode. that has worked for me since final fantasy 2

Final Fantasy 5 is the only actual hard classic since it actually has enemies that if you don't come into the battle prepared you WILL die, no questions asked.

There's that one boss in the 3rd world I remember getting stuck on... I didn't have a Black or Time Mage on my party and guess what? Couldn't win. Never saved either... had to play the entire game all over again.

Let's just say I've played through FF5 like... 20 times now. xD

Lol. Some people consider FF6 to be the easiest FF of the series since there's so many ways you can abuse the Relics. Not to mention Kefka can be beaten in 2 turns.

What's so difficult about it? I'm guessing you have a crappy team.

Hmm... I haven't beaten any of the earlier ones, I have them on emulators and either my data get corrupted or I just forget about it for a while and forget where I am.

Err... actually, come to think of it the only one I've beaten all the way through was 1 on Dawn of Souls. I think I'm halfway on 6, but I am too lazy to try and beat the part that I died on again. xp

So.... *looks at poll* People like 6 alot?
I have played and beat every one of the early games, save 3 due to the fact of me not have a DS. Yeah, I could get an emulator, but I feel that kind of ruins the value of playing a game. Of the games I did play, I have to say that hands down 6 has the best story and gameplay. As well as having the largest cast of pc's in any game, I fell in love with this game when the opera scene started. I used to be a music major and I now have to listen to that song once a week.
Other than that, the next is 4. I have allways had a thing for the holy knights, and Cecil just made the struggle within himself so great.
Next would be a tie for me between 2 and 5. They are both such great games with such different styles.
Finally I unfortunately have to put 1 at the bottom. It made me love the series, but it made me hate the first hour of trying to level so as not to die to a goblin.

Final Fantasy III. Although it's crystals, light, darkness, etc, I find the plot has a lot more into it. It's more interesting. I love the job changing system.

I've only played FFI & FFIV, I didn't really have too much trouble in either of them.... but then again I never beat them.... I just stopped playing one day..... I do plan to finish them some day XP....

(by the way, I couldn't help but notice you left out FF Mystic Quest...)

Considering it's so huge in popularity, I'd like to get FF6 on the GBA.

FFII is my favorite.

It's the most underrated and a lot of people do nothing but complain about the leveling system, but I LOVED it.

"Oh, Ricard! You're not up to par with us. Here, let Guy hit you with his Axes." And after the battle, the HP skyrockets!

The whole point was to focus on one section to level, whether it be HP or MP, strength, defense, etc., but most people don't seem to realize that. sad

It's a shame, really. They're missing out on a great game.

I have played FFI, FFII, and FFIV. Out of those three, FFI is by far my favorite. FFI set in place so many standards used in the series today, from the combat screen, to enemies, to the music, even locations. Plus, I was able to pass this one...so FFI is my favorite

I liked FFVI the most, for the complexity in the store - but FFIII's remake is pretty nice as well. I guess I like the characters in FFVI more though, they had more character development.

FFIII is my fav, the job changing system gives it great replayability... though, it does get annoying with the enemies at the end spamming deth on you.. and some of the battles require you to take a certain class/ability or DIE. x_x
The Job change system is quite unique, because every class you master carries over without having to master the class completely. I guess it's pretty similar to FFXI's system, to a small extent.

I didn't like FFVI for it's gameplay, liked it's character development and such, but I didn't like it's little twist where everyone could use magic.

FFV was good, but I guess it just didn't really interest me to have to train hours to get MASTER level in the class o_o;;

I found FFII boring, having to spam spells and/or attacks on yourself to grow... lol. Reminds me of Vegeta in DBZ when preparing to fight Freeza in his third form... kinda annoying to have to keep doing. (especially in the GBA versions when you can't select/deselect a lot to level up)

FFI and FFIV were good, set a good gameplay sense, and every character were unique. (or could be) umm... yeah, getting late, I'll stop this post now

I've actually found that FFII (actually, most turn-based RPGs) is easier to play on emulators like VBA, since you can use buttons on your keyboard to make the game go faster. For GBA games, you can play at 3x normal speed, so it makes battles where you need to attack yourself go much, much faster. 3nodding (Not that I'm complaining. I heart the style of leveling up in FFII. ;D )
