Tasks, Quests, Missions & Specials
Remember I do not expect you to be able to complete every Task, Quest, or Mission that is given. Part of growing up is learning about giving in, and defeat. Incomplete Tasks, Quests, Missions are in normal sized text; smaller text means it has been completed.

Tasks
These are avarage run of the mill chores.

Task 1: Get to know Snowdrop!
Task 2: Build Snowdrop a stable, and find her some food!
Task 3: Get Snowdrop to trust you! Remember you are female, and she is weary of females...

Quests
These are things that will structure how your foal grows.

Quest 1: Snowdrop seems down a bit... However, it is just her really showing signs of deep thought. Perhaps get her back into the meditation habbit that her old owner had her in.
Quest 2: Snows falling, and it is wicked cold... Take her to Mystic Island to thaw a bit. However doing such a thing will spark a bit of magic back into her. I bet if you let her go, and follow her. When she returns to you... She'll change!

Missions
These are things to make you, or your foal happier; or bring you closer together.

Mission 1: See the Sea... You may or may not have noticed it, but the sea seems to have a special connection to her. It seems to draw her attention. Find her a few items that can simulate the same feeling in a room of her own. I am sure with just the right comfort and settings you will have instant meditation!

Specials
Just something random, out of the ordinary that is extra special!
If no instructions are given then that means you need to PM me for further details!

Special 1: Quest (Mediation!)
Special 2: Mission (A Bit Flakey!)

.Welcome Snowdrop - Task 1?.

Shortly after my interveiw with Shiro, the contest for Snowdrop ended. I've
been selected to care for Snowdrop and gain her trust. It won't be easy.
I'm a female, and so was her last owner. I guess it wouldn't be wise to
introduce Snowdrop to my Hazina yet either, since I'm pretty sure her last
owner had a little girl riding her before she abandoned her.

I'm so excited. I can't believe I got her. Right now I'm working on a stall
for her. But my first task is to get to know her. Well, that's what I'm going
to do, and I'll write down how it went. Short entry, I know.

Kiita set down the diary on the lumber she had ready to make Snowdrop's stall with. Getting up from the ground, she turned her attention to the wary grey foal that was standing beside a pine tree, "I know I didn't interact with you too much before the interview. You were probably just getting used to the others who were approaching."

Snowdrop shifted her weight from left to right, still eyeing Kiita distrustingly. She huffed a bit before looking away briefly. Still feeling the girl's eyes on her, she snorted and stepped a few feet away.

This made Kiita frown a little, "Well, if I'm going to be caring for you, you might want to know a little about me. Whether you believe a word I say or not, I wouldn't know. But here goes: If they didn't tell you, my name is Kiita. I'm just as nice as any other person, and I have no intention of abandoning you. I know it may take a while, but I'm willing to put some time into getting to know you and gaining your trust, no matter how long that may take." She paused, wondering what else to add, "I'm starting to build you a stable. I hope you like it."

Snowdrop listened closely. So. She's willing to give this time. That was nice...I guess. She slowly walked to the small trough set out for her earlier, and dipped her nose into it, nibbling on the apples Kiita offered her the first time the girl came to see her.

Taking a deep breath, Kiita slowly stepped towards her. Taking one step at a time. "I won't hurt you." She said, holding her palms up to show she wouldn't.

Snowdrop took a step away, leaving two pieces of the apples left. How can I believe you? She wanted to ask. Her ears perked as she heard a soothing tune being hummed by...that Kiita girl.

That's right. Kiita was humming to her. A soft sound as she approached the cautious mare.

The grey filly reluctantly stepped one step away. Just one. That's all.

She was close. Kiita reached her hand towards her slowly, she stroked the mare's neck slowly and tenderly.

She flinched at the girl's touch, and after one stroke of the hand, she stepped away again.

Kiita put her hand down, "That's good enough for tonight I guess, even though you got to know me more than I got to know you. We'll do vice versa tomorrow. I'll see you in the morning, Snowdrop. I hope you sleep well."

.Stable - Task 2!...another attempt at Task 1?.

I built Snowdrop a stable and bought her a handful of items. I also got her a companion, a small equine named Rina, but I don't plan introducing them anytime soon.

The stable took a while since it was more than one...room thing. The left side is where I store her items and the right side with a sliding door is her actual stall. A small gate surrounds it, but it unhinges on the last gate that connects it to Snowdrop's stall, so it's not like we're trapped. The stable is mainly dark and light gray with some white and light blue. I hope she likes it. I haven't shown it to her yet.

As for the last entry on attempting Task 1, well, she allowed me to stroke her once before stepping away. She got to know more about me than I did her, so this time after I show her the stable, I'm just going to watch her from a small distance and let her run around. Hopefully she won't run too far.

Kiita stood from the boulder and walked over to the stable, opening the right door and placing the diary on a shelf inside it.

As she came back out, Snowdrop was already poking her nose around the other side, her stall. With a snort, her ears perked. She backed up to see Kiita, and right after she trotted slowly away. Turning to face the stable once more, she circled it. It would do. It wasn't too bad. The colors were nice. She certainly liked the design on it as well. Not bad.

The new protector gave her gray changeling a small smile then sat back down on the large boulder a small distance away from the stable, watching Snowdrop as she poked about it curiously.

Snowdrop let out a soft nicker as she poked her head into the left side's large window. Hay! She nosed open the door and stepped in, lowering her head down to take some of the food. Chewing on it a little more cheerful than usual, she peeked out the large window again, seeing Kiita watch her. Why does she always watch her? The gray mare decided to see what else was stored here. Hm. A glass jar. With...pink treats inside it? This caught her attention. She poked the jar curiously, finding the 'treats' were sealed. Wtih a soft grunt, she turned her attention to a teddy bear with wings. This time when she poked this item, she liked the feeling. It was soft and wasn't cold like that jar. Snowdrop sniffed the blue bear a little, nickering softly to it.

Kiita chuckled, standing from her seat and walking over to lean on the fence that surrounded the stable, "You're welcome to take more hay if you want. The jar with the pink hearts is only for decoration. The hearts are paper, and paper isn't too good to eat." She smiled, "As for the bear, well, we can move him into your stall if you'd like."

Snowdrop blinked at Kiita for a few moments before looking back to the bear. She picked it up by the ear with some effort and bobbed her head up and down as if to play with it. She ignored Kiita for a while until Kiita came in and led her to the stall next to the inventory room...but not without her bear.

.Color! - Starting Task 3.

Snowdrop seemed to like the stable. In fact, she was already poking around it after I put her diary away last night. I'll be adding more color to the stable as the days go by so it isn't only gray. I painted it gray first just in case other loud colors scare her like red or bright orange...are changelings colorblind like some animals?

And speakin of color! I thought Snowdrop was a different changeling until I saw her infinite sign. Well, guess what? That yellow infinite sign turned into a dark gray one. And Snowdrop's mane turned blue overnight! A beautiful blue, I might add. Does she like the color blue? That's probably what I'll add more to the stable later...

I completed the first two tasks. Now the third one is to get her to trust me. There is also a new quest for me. It seems her old owner got her into a meditation habit, and I can hopefully get her back into it. Thing is, well, I don't know much about meditation, but I can read up on it soon.

Snowdrop shifted her weight nervously as she watched through the stall bars Kiita approaching. She snorted softly, stepping a little farther back into the small room.

"Hey Snowdrop. I have something to show you." Kiita opened the sliding stall door and held a picture up to show the filly. "This is what I was thinking of permenantly painting your stall as." She picked through her front pocket and pulled out a folded paper. Unfolding it, the protector also showed this to her. "This is the outside of the stable. It'll take a while to paint, but I can attempt it if you'd like it."

User Image

Snowdrop leaned forward a bit to take a closer look at the two. The colors were beautiful. Much better than the gray. The snowflakes certainly added something to it.

"Would you mind if I painted it this way?" Kiita asked, looking hopeful to the mare.

Snowdrop bobbed her head very briefly, then stepped passed Kiita to go outside. Being that close to Kiita made her nervous and wary. Ah, open space. She nudged the hinge with her nose. She wanted out, not just...out and surrounded by a gate. Snorting, unsuccessful with getting it open, she turned to Kiita, who was silently watching in the doorway of her stall. The gray foal let out a nicker, stomping her foot once and motioning to the unopened fence door.

The protector chuckled, "Alright, alright. I understand. You want out." Kiita walked over and opened the gate door...then watched as Snowdrop bolted out and stop after a good distance away, but not too far.

Out in the open. No walls nor fences limiting her space. Near the middle of their land, Snowdrop shook her mane briefly, then closed her eyes for a moment. Not two minutes later, they reopened. It wasn't the same. This disappointed her. She decided to trot around aimlessly under the darkened night sky.

Kiita blinked, confused as to what in the world the filly was doing. Her first quest was to get Snowdrop back into meditating. It seemed like the mare attempted it...maybe she needs someone to do it with. "Snowdrop? Would you like a sugar cube?" She called to her, picking two from her pocket and holding them out at a small distance. She decided to try Task 3 first before going onto the first quest.

Snowdrop's ears perked as Kiita called to her. Sugar cubes were good...the blue-maned filly slowly made her way to her new protector. Soon she neared Kiita, but stopped a few feet away where she could reach out and take the treats.

Kiita inched a little closer as Snowdrop reached forward, not taking a full step toward the changeling yet. Again, she started to hum softly, watching as Snowdrop perked up a little more when she started. As the mare took one hesitantly, Kiita's other hand neared the foal's right cheek.

Snowdrop turned to look at Kiita's hand before she got to take the second one. Going a little stiff, she allowed Kiita to pet her once...twice...three times before turning away. The sugar cubes were nice treats, and she guessed she should cut Kiita a little slack.
...just a little.

Kiita smiled a small smile, "Thank you. Although it's starting to get cold out, not to mention it's a little late. Lets get you back in now." She walked ahead of the changeling, looking back to see if Snowdrop were following. And sure enough, she was.

They settled Snowdrop in, and Kiita managed to put a temporary fleece blanket over the filly's back. That took some time to do with some effort, though.

.Meetings - Task 3 still, Quest 1.

I met with Ceres yesterday night. She gave me a book on Meditation to help me with Snowdrop's first quest. I'm...going to attempt meditating with Snowdrop tonight. Meeting with Ceres again seemed to have brightened Snowdrop's mood a little. We had dinner, and I found out Snowdrop prefers peas over green beans. hehe.

I also met a new owner, Lia. She tried for Snowdrop as well, but in the end she got another foal, a colt she named Kira. I -believe- the two changelings met, I'm not entirely sure. They probably met briefly though, because I had to go soon.

Anyway, I've got the some of the repainting and some of the design done on her stable. It'll be done hopefully by Wednesday or Thursday.

"Hey Snoooowdrop." Kiita called, looking for the gray filly. She stepped away from the west side of the stable, having only one side of the inventory room done. "This is how the rest will look. Somewhat." She set down the paint.

Snowdrop perked up and trotted around the outside of the fence to see what Kiita had done so far. She nickered a little, tail starting to flick. She was now getting used to having Kiita around...and she liked it. Especially how often her protector used treats to get her to come. If an equine could giggle, she'd be doing it. She'd come now without treats.

Kiita sat down on a rock and held out another sugar cube.

Snowdrop immedietely started to walk over, accepting the sweet treat.

Three hours later, Kiita had showered and was sitting with her feet flat against the ground out in the middle of the grass field. She straightened her posture, and set down the book in front of her so her palms could be facing up. She took a few deep, slow breaths and closed her eyes.

Snowdrop watched Kiita and perked up a bit. Meditating? The gray foal soundlessly trotted over to the protector. She settled down beside her quietly, closing her eyes as well.

Kiita stirred a little, opening her eyes momentarily to see her foal beside her. A smile came to her face. This was good.

((I don't know much about meditation, so I did my best on roleplaying this right. ^_^; ))

.Rina - Task 3 still.

During my attempt at meditation, Snowdrop came over to join me. Does this mean she is starting to trust me? I've been beginning to think of different ways that might help her break from her shell.

Well, I'm going to try and not use sugar cubes so much. Seems like shes developing a sweet tooth, if you know what I mean. So, I'm going to start using banannas. She seems to like those too.

I'm -almost- done with painting the rest of her stable. I still need to paint the other side, her stall.

I'm going to introduce Rina to Snowdrop now...

Snowdrop shook her blue mane during a soft whicker. She was lying in the grass with her head up, watching Kiita as the protector cut a bananna into small pieces. What, no more sugar cubes? Aw...

Kiita sat across from the gray filly and held out her palm with a few of the yellow fruit pieces, "Nearly done with repainting you stable, girl. I think I'll be done by tomorrow night. Then we can start searching for more toys and what not for you." She smiled. They seemed to be getting along pretty well. But how much trust was between the two?

Snowdrop stood and walked closer to the palm that held the bananna pieces, sucking up one and chewing on it, doing the same to the others after a few minutes. She let out a low nicker satisfied with the healthy treat.

"Hey Snowdrop...I'd like to introduce someone to you." Kiita said, studying the foal. "I hope you two become good friends. Her name is Rina." The protector put her fingers to her mouth and whistled.

A very small equine galloped toward them and skidded to a stop near them. She let out a cheerful nicker, tail flicking and ears twitching. Rina trotted around Snowdrop's legs and neighed. She stomped her foot and motioned to the open field. She wanted to race!

Kiita smiled.

Snowdrop let out an amused snort and looked at the small hoofie around her legs. She neighed back and started off at a trot, gradually getting faster.

Rina was right on her tail. She was very speedy for a little one. She nickered and heaved forward. Where were they racing to anyway?

The gray foal loved running. It was her thing. She suddenly turned off toward the left, then started to run back towards Kiita.

Kiita's smiled disappeared. She was the finish line?! The protector quickly stood and started to run.

Rina was caught off guard, and turned a moment to late after Snowdrop did. She grunted and ran to catch up with her new friend.

The two equine were close to Kiita. Too close. Kiita tripped over her slipper and fell face forward, "Eek!"

Snowdrop skidded to a stop a few yards away with a loud, cheerful neigh. That was great. And Kiita fell! hehe. The foal trotted slowly back to the protector, giving her an amused nicker.

Rina almost stumbled into Kiita as she stopped. It seemed the blue equine was snickering. The two were obviously amused that Kiita fell.

Kiita got up and sat back, laying her legs out straight in front of her, "Very funny, guys." She said, looking from one to the other.

Yeah, they'd get along just fine.

.Is it snowing? - Stable repainted!.

Pleh. No need to worry about how good Snowdrop and Rina will get along. They have one thing in common; they love to run. Yesterday when they met, I guess they decided I was the finish line and started charging after me! I think they did it just for laughs though. Hmph.

I fell when they came after me. I almost fell when I saw Snowdrop again this morning! Seeing her, I turned to look outside. It didn't snow. But Snowdrop had snowflakes all over her! She's so cute.

I finally got done with repainting her stall. It turned out really good, actually.

.The sky...and still trying! - Still Quest 1.

I'm still trying to understand this meditation stuff. I've been attempting meditaiton for a few days now with Snowdrop. It seems to be doing okay. Am I doing this right, though? That's the question.

It seems I'm gaining more of her trust. Slowly though. That's okay. However long she needs, she'll have it. I'm looking for more items to give her. It isn't so easy.

Lately I've caught her looking up at the sky most of the time. You'd think most equine would have their heads down grazing...but not her. She seems fascinated with the sky. Maybe she wants to fly? She gets all excited when she sees birds in the sky and nickers to them.

.I'm not sure of this...-Still Quest 1.

This just doesn't come easily for me, this meditation thing. I'm trying, but somehow I just don't seem to get it right. It seems simple enough, but...I don't know.

It's been a while since I've written in her diary. I'm really slacking in it. Nothing new, really. I'm thinking of bringing Snowdrop over to Kira's and Lia's so Snowdrop could socialize more. Rina and Snowdrop still seem to be getting along well. I catch them racing almost every morning to see who's faster. To me, they look about just the same in speed...although Snowdrop does have the advantage becase of her longer legs.

Today I'm taking Snowdrop for a walk in the forest that surrounds our small area...you know, just to get out and explore. If I can find a quiet spot, I can attempt to meditate with her again.

A few hours later, Snowdrop and Kiita were pretty deep into the woods. It was late afternoon, and the sun was setting. Kiita looked around, having this unsettling feeling. Maybe it was just her. Besides, she watched too many scary movies anyway. "We should stop here for right now." She set the sleeping back and backpack down on the ground against the tree. Looking to the foal, she smiled a little.

Snowdrop's ears were perked and alert, twitching occasionally. She couldn't help but feel something strange...the filly grunted softly, stopping at a small distance between Kiita and herself, scanning their surroundings. She started to fidget uneasily.

"Hey, it'll be okay..." Kiita said, sensing the blue-maned filly's nervousness. She slowly walked over to stroke Snowdrop's mane. "How about we try that meditating again?" She gave the foal one last look before sitting down in her spot and had her palms facing up. She looked to Snowdrop before closing her eyes and taking a few deeper breathes.

The forest's sounds got to Snowdrop's ears, making her shift her weight nervously. Her ears perked excitedly at the sound of bird's calls...oh, how she longed to see what it was like in the sky. Her gaze went to her protector...maybe she should calm down a little. The gray filly laid down on her stomach beside her, letting out one last breath then closing her eyes.

Hmm....they closed their eyes...what in the world are they doing? Their follower watched from a tree above. How silly of them. She grinned and slinked down to the lower branches, eyeing the girl's and pony's bookbag. What do we have here? Snacks, perhaps? She decided to take a peek in it later, for now she should watch the two more closely...

.Follower in the forest?.

Well, spent one night in the forset with Snowdrop already, and it seems pretty weird. She's been uneasy. I can feel it. I feel as if there is something out there waiting, watching and following us...maybe it's just me. I mean, I do watch a lot of scary movies. heh.

A playdate is scheduled for Kira and Snowdrop tomorrow afternoon, hopefully.

Kiita's attention went to the gray filly, "Ready to get go-" She stopped, blinking as she looked at her.

Snowdrop's eyes and infinite sign briefly flashed a violet color, her full attention above the trees, ears perked. Her gaze wouldn't steer away. She snorted, stomping one foot as she continued looking up.

"Snowdrop, what's wrong?" Kiita asked, looking up into the trees. She frowned slightly, not seeing anything, "Lets go."

As the gray foal stomped her hoof once more, her sign and eyes flashed that violet color once again. Then...

"PONYRIDE!" A foxgirl screamed, jumping onto the filly's back and automatically started kicking her sides with her back paws.

Snowdrop neighed loudly, starting to buck and kick, finally she reared, sending the foxgirl tumbling down her back and onto the ground with a thump. The filly then just...ran...

"Snowdrop, wait!" Kiita called, going to chase after her...then stopped after a while, sighing. She'd find her...Snowdrop wouldn't just...leave...would she? She needed caring, and comfort, and...the girl. The fox girl. She turned, looking to her, angered, "Look what you've done!" Kiita cried, then turning to walk in a fast pace to where her filly went.

Rokani rubbed her head, watching at Kiita went, "Hey, don't leave me here!" She got up and ran after her, "I'll help look for her! Just don't leave me, I was only looking for a ride and...and maybe some snacks..."

Kiita sighed, turning back to speak with the foxgirl. So, this was their follower. No one to be afraid of. They quickly introduced themselves and went back to searching. Kiita wasn't at all fond of this Rokani girl. She made Snowdrop leave! Was it so hard to just greet them like normal instead of surprising them? Kiita scowled, but continued the way Snowdrop went.

Snowdrop couldn't have gone to far.

((Rokani is in my 'www' on the Humanoids page. 3nodding
Btw, finding Snowdrop won't take too long. Actually, she'll be found
hopefully tomorrow if I have time to get on.))
