you must traverse a mountain. there are only two paths there, and you must take one of them. the problem is that one of them leads you to nowhere, getting you hopelessly lost for all of eternity. the other gets you where you need to go. there is no discernable difference between them.
the only ppl who know which path is which is a set of twins. these two brothers (or sisters, watever) look, sound, smell and taste (!?) exactly alike. the problem: one only tell lies, the other only tells truths. you dont know who is who.
you are allowed to ask the set of twins only one question: the same question to each of them. that's it: from this question and its answer, you must be able to find out which path to take.
What do you ask them?

hmm.....i remember a riddle similar to this one, but it's a little different:
Scenario: "You are walking on a path and you came upon a fork on the road...one path leads you to village where everyone tell nothing but lies, and the other leads to a village where everyone tells nothing but the truth. You see a man (or woman....whatever) standing on the side of the road who is from either the "lie village" or the "truth village."
>>>you are trying to get to the "truth village"
>>>the man allows you to ask only one question: NO "double" questions into one
SOOO.....what one question do you ask the person in order to get to the "truth" village?
ANSWER and EXPLANATION: (highlight) You ask: Which way is it to your village? >>> it doesn't matter where that person is from, either way that person will point you to the "truth village" because
Scenario 1: person is from truth village: he will show you, of course, to the truth village
Scenario 2: person is from lie village: he will also show you the path to the truth village because he is "lying" to you and say he is from the truth village

another riddle to complicate your life:....actually...this is more of a brain teaser blaugh
After a local art theft, six suspects were being interviewed. Below is a summary of their statements. Police know that exactly four of them told one lie each and all of the other statements are true. From this information can you tell who committed the crime?

I would ask them what color my hair was ( brown ) And which ever one said brown would be the berson that tells the truth. Then i would beat them up till they tell me which way to go. blaugh sweatdrop sweatdrop xp
