HIGHLIGHT FOR SPOILERS *AT OWN RISK FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T WATCHED IT YET*
I just finished watching it and I cant believe what I saw 0-0
I thought people were just kidding around when they said that Athrun and Meyrin was "together" at the ending. Technically I was fine after being in a fetle possition in total denial saying "Asuran and Cagalli WILL stay together" for like 100 times. But then I rialized that Meyrin wasn't really much of a threat to the asucaga relationship since the ending clips showed the real love relationships between the main characters(KiraxLacus and AthrunxCagalli). It showed how they met and what the went throught etc... And also alot of people had said that they broke up in the final plus but I dont think they did.I mean ya Cagalli did take of her engagement ring off after Athrun gave it to her (when she promised she'd never take it off) and told Meyrin to take care of athrun. BUT still I'm sure that in the other special GSD ( Im telling the truth its not a rumor but its not a part 3 though its only a specail episode) the Athrun and Cagalli love-love relationship will determine its final destiny!
Anyways this is what I think...its not much and I may be behind but its what I could get for now. If any of you guys have any furthur more updated news or info. then please feel free to pm me or post here ^^

as far as i know of, no relationship was really determined between athrun and meyrin. she was just following him at the end of final plus, so nothing was really discussed through it. there's still the chance that AC will get back together again...it's just the turn of events that sort of fell into a bad turnout.
and i think everyone in our guild's seen final plus, so we're pretty ok with discussing it openly, right guys?

very true...i know that they showed the Athrun and Meyrin clip at the end of final plus, but i have a feeling that they are just friends. Otherwise, you would see them touching each other in some form or another ^^" (like what kira and lacus, and shinn and luna were doing). regardless, if you watched Gundam Seed Destiny Special Edition, the ending credits that role all show images of Athrun and Cagalli together, as you hinted. that still gives everyone hope, doesn't it? =3
one last thing to mention is that Athrun and Cagalli were a LOT more intimate than Athrun and Meyrin, which shows that Athrun's feelings for Cagalli are a lot stronger. though he may regard Meyrin as a good friend, i think the chance of Athrun and Cagalli re-igniting their long-time relationship is quite great.
but of course....that could all be wishful thinking.... ^^"

At the end, Meyrin was sort of walking behind Athrun, kind of indicating that they're out of step, whereas if they were walking side by side they'd be equals, as in equals/partners/whatever you wanna call it, in a relationship. It sort of shows Meyrin as a follower, like she's following a crush, but it's not really being returned.
Anyway, hopefully they do come up with something that actually states what happens to Asucaga relationship, and hopefully they do get back together.

Thats what I was thinking maybe it is just wishful thinking but still there are alot of proof on how the asucagali relationship still lives but alot of proof that its over as well.

yes, lacus was leaning on kira's shoulder...very intimate ^-^
i think we are all assuming the relationship is estranged, but we really don't have proof of that either. i doubt athrun has any deep feelings for meyrin...the closest it would come it is sibling-like. looking at her as a little sister or something. her personality just seems to childish for him. unlike cagalli, who knows what's happening in the world, and didn't he admire her for being able to look after herself, and being able to open his eyes to the things around him? very strong qualities that i think she and lacus share...but no other gundam seed girl really does. of course, lacus and kira are with one another, but you can see that athrun's feelings for cagalli are tons greater, and with a lot of intimacy too.

at least he got around to a long-term relationship with Cagalli. He hasn't even touched Meyrin compared to that. I know thats what I told him...Oh and Does anyone watched the Gundam seed specials its sopose to be a narraration in athrun side of the story.
