Alice took a deep breath of fresh air as she stepped outside onto the terrace. A gentle breeze caressed her hair, pulling strands back to flow on invisible fingers.
A soft sigh escaped her as she made her way to the short boarder wall. The city was breathtaking, but the loss of her friend still pained her and she was unable to truly enjoy its magnificence.
"Where are you...?" She mumbled under her breath, part of her hoping something would click in her mind and reveal to her a clue, a lead of any kind at all. None came.

Tia landed on the terrace with a soft 'Thud' and saw the girl in her premonition. The girl took her breath away. She hadn't realised it was the one from the lobby.
's**t..why couldn't I tell it was her..the one person I'm trying to hide from I just have to come to...damn fuzzy images..'
She wiped away some sweat from her head and tried to sneak past her.
'Now why am I trying to hide from this human?'
The memory of hiding her face with the newspaper in the lobby seemed childish and it disgusted her. She had nothing. But she had nothing for as long as she could remember. All she knew was her name and was what humans called a 'vampire'.
She ran her hand through her hair as she tried to make her way to the door.

Alice remained oblivious to the strange creature of the night that was so dangerously nearby. A soft breeze sent a chill down her spine, but the "hair raising" sensation brought about was not from a cool gust of wind. Something felt wrong to her.
Leaning against the small boarder wall she didn't turn just yet, ignoring her paranoia, brushing it aside with more "important" thoughts. She needed to come up with a plan.
The feeling returned stronger than ever, just as the other was creeping away, and she turned quickly around. A light shriek escaped her.
"Oh!....Sorry, I wasn't expecting..." She tried to explain her lack of attention, figuring the girl probably entered most casually and that she herself should have heard her. "Were you needing something?" She interrupted herself instead, taking a few steps foreward - that feeling growing stronger even now.

Tia turned at the shriek of the other girl and stared.
"Were you needing something?" Seeing the girl advancing she backed up a little, "N-no... I don't believe I was w-was.." She replied, stammering and blushing a little.
She looked into the other woman's eyes and images flashed before her mind causing her to grasp her head.
Two woman kissing...laughing...smiling..hugging..crying..loss...
'Not now...' She shook her head and slowly opened her eyes. The girl before her had a glow around her figure and the vampire felt a pull towards the younger woman.
"W-who are you?" She managed to ask when the images cleared. Tia was trying hard to get her composure back together, no way was a one woman going to break her by just one look into her eyes.

Alice backed off a little herself, not sure if she should fear the stranger might harm her or run away. Though her worry of being hurt was beggining to fade, despite the paranoid feeling she got from the girl.
"I'm Alice - sorry I just wasn't expecting anyone is all..." She looked around, searching for entrances. How did she sneak up on me so quickly...?
"Did you...just come out here...?" She mumbled, but seeing the girl having her own troubles quickly added. "Are you alright?"

"Oh I'm sorry for disturbing you..." She flashed a smile, she could feel her eyes turn a different color, although she wasn't sure which. This Alice woman made her cold body a warmer.
Tia stuck out her hand, "My name is Christiana - but you can call me Tia.."
Tia scooted forward a little, "Sorry if I scared you..no I didn't just come out here..I came up from the sidewalk.." Tia took back her out stretched hand when she said that.
'So much for keeping a low profile...way to go Tia...why does this woman affect me so?...' She sighed and rolled her eyes at herself.

Alice shook her head.
"No, it's alright I was just-.." She sighed, unable to explain why she had been so lost in thought. The image of her friend had faded now, and though it still tormented the back of her mind, she couldn't take focus off of the strange girl before her. Something seemed not right about her.
Something's different...what's different...? Shaking off that last bit of heavy paranoia she stepped foreward and gave a polite nod.
"It's nice to meet you Tia. Are you staying at this hotel? Or do you live here in the city..?"

"Mmm...yes I am staying in this hotel..." Tia looked away, out towards the city. She sighed, wishing what she has been looking for had already been found. The warm breeze danced around her hair as she looked back.
"I do plan to eventually move into the city..I don't want to leave here for awhile if I can help it..how about you?" She cocked her head, "You're obviously staying here...long term or short term if I may ask?"
Tia gave Alice a quick once over.

"Short term I guess."
Alice replied, glancing off toward the city as well.
"I'm just looking for a friend....maybe you've seen her?" She once again revealed the photo of a young looking woman, in it, she had her arm around the girls shoulder and two were each holding a drink of some sort. They both seemed happy and it was obvious they were close friends.
"Her name's Lauren..she might've came to this city recently. She's been missing for a while now." Alice held out the picture so Tia could get a good look.

The vampire shook her head, "No I'm sorry I don't think I've.." She trailed off as she got a closer look. Something about the girl next to Alice struck her.
Tia leaned forward towards the photograph, "Do you mind if I hold it? I might get some thing off of it if I touch it..." She wouldn't touch the photograph without Alice's permission. She didn't want to get off on the wrong foot with her.

A little confused, Alice gave an almost reluctant nod.
"Umm..not at all." She held out the picture for Tia to take, unsure of why she thought it might help. But in her desperate desire to find her friend once again, she gave the girl the benefit of the doubt.

Tia hesitantly took ahold of the photograph. She held it close, closing her eyes again, bracing herself for another premonition. With each second passed she felt silly just standing there.
She let out a breath and opened her eyes to Alice, "Good..no more visi-",
The girl named Lauren flashed before her eyes...she was running away from a dark entity in some alley...she cried out as she tripped and fell into some trash cans..it was too late..the creature loomed over the girl as the image faded away...
Tia dropped the photograph and fell to her knees as she pulled out of her vision. Her hands started shaking and sweat formed on her forehead as the vision was like a deja vu.

Alice knelt quickly to assist the fallen girl.
"Are you alright?" She asked in a slightly worried tone of voice. It was her own assumption that the girl must have had some sort of illness, siezures perhaps. Still, that's not really what it seemed like.
Alice just knelt there before Tia, one hand outstretched reaching for but not quite touching the girls shoulder - a subtly sign of attention and willingness to help where needed.
"What's the matter...Tia..?"

Tia looked up into the eyes of the girl kneeling before her. "I'm ok..but I don't think this girl will be..."
Not if I have anything to say about it.. She thought.
"I'm sorry Alice," Tia stood up slowly, catching her breath, "But I must go..I'm going back to my room..if you ever want to stop by my room number is 604.." She smiled shyly, "It was nice meeting you...I'll see you around."
She started feeling dizzy as she walked back to the door. She paused for a second and almost turned back.
Should I tell her? She debated with herself. No..she's probably not ready.. Tia shook her head and exited the terrace.
