Dear friend,
You are cordially invited to my Christmas Party, to be held on Christmas Eve in Christmas Town. I realize that that is a lot of Chrismasses in one sentence, but never fear! All of the winter holidays are welcome at my party, so feel free to bring your dreidels, New Years Noisemakers and ...whatever Kwanzaa might require you to bring, if any of you happen to celebrate it. We are also having a cooking contest, so please have something prepared! It's okay if you can't cook - just don't kill anyone. (Ha ha.) As for where my house is - oh yes, I have my own place now! You can't miss it, it's the one made of gingerbread. And one more thing!
You are absolutely required to have a date at this party. So make sure you find one, or you might end up with a stray mistletoe around someone unfortunate. Not that any of you are unfortunate of course, but I will have to wonder why you don't have a date if you show up without one!

Christmas Eve had finally come to Christmas Town, and while Santa and the elves made last-minute preparations for their annual sleigh ride, Okashi Snickerdoodle, Christmas Town's very own living gingerbread cookie, opened his newly-baked home to friends and new visitors alike. Mistletoe was hung decoratively throughout the entire house, along with tinsel, bells and sparkling lights, and of course, a cute little Christmas tree in the corner for anyone who brought presents for eachother.
Okashi himself was running around, making last-minute preparations in the kitchen. After all, some of the couples would be participating in the cooking contest, and he wanted to make it as convenient for them as possible since they were already having to share a kitchen. He was also expecting some special guests, and they would need to be accomodated as well. But all in all, the gingerbread boy felt accomplished, and he couldn't wait to answer the first doorbell.

Yuna stood outside Okashi's door, shivering slightly not because of the cold, just in a happy anticipation. She looked down at her Gun Mage outfit, hoping it would look fine. She wasn't sure how dressy this party was. She took a deep breath, then rung the doorbell.

Okashi grinned, and picked up a poinsettia from the kitchen counter to move it to the table he'd set up for the cooking contest. He might as well do that on the way to the door, but he still hurried, and was pleased to see that his date for the night was the first to arrive. "Welcome," he said with a warm smile, taking her hands.

Yuna smiled brightly up at the Cookie. "Am I too early?" She asked biting a lip and giving his hands a gentle sqeeze. "Or is there anything I can help with?"

"You're fine," Okashi told her when she asked if she was too early. "I've just been arranging the kitchen so it'll be easier for the others. We'd better get a good turnout," he added as a footnote.

Yuna giggled. "Who could stay away? Oh! Rikku and Leon will be coming a little later. Rikku was taking forever to get ready." She said with a little smile, she didn't want to show too much that she couldn't wait to be around him.

"That's the way it should be," Okashi grinned. "I feel sorry for Leon though. Do you think they will be late?" He gestured for Yuna to come further into the house - he wondered how she wasn't getting cold in that outfit, but then, Christmas town had a nice kind of cold. "Have a seat if you want one, they might fill up quickly."

Yuna smiled, picking up a bag off the floor and stepped inside. "You never know with Rikku." In the back of her mind Yuna knew that Rikku was probally taking a long time on purpose. She looked at the chair but decided not to sit down, instead she handed Okashi the bag. "Merry Christmas!" She told him cheerfully.

Okashi nodded and started to rustle the tissue paper as he reached inside the bag and pulled out a small pin shaped like a gingerbread man. He laughed. "It's cute, thanks."

"Welcome!" She said ratehr bubbly. She leaned forwards slightly, and looked around. "Your house is beautiful!" She told him. "And it smell so tasty!"

"I was thinking of letting people eat it after the party was over," Okashi mused. "You know, I don't usually stay in one place for very long." He snickered. "Baker would be pissed though, and it might be nice to have a place to come back to."
He had a present for Yuna, but he planned on surprising her with it later, so he didn't mention it.
