Basically, the big joke at my school is my tech director has THE WORST TIMING OF ANYONE I'VE EVER MET. Any time I (or most anyone else) am saying something that could sound really dirty out of context, he will walk in the room.

Example number 1: My and my two female tech friends are trying to have girl talk time. One of the guys was bothering us. We decide, okay we'll go in the girls dressing room. And he's like, well I can follow you in there while you're all wearing your clothes. So I go, okay, I'll take off my shirt. AT THAT EXACT MOMENT HE WALKS IN.

Example 2: We're going Grease right now so we have this completely awesome car sitting in the corner of our stage. And it's a really sexy car. It's blue with red flames. It rocks. So, as a joke, my female friend and I jump on top of the hood and strike a really sexy pose. My other friend is like I want to take a picture. Okay, sounds good. MY TECH DIRECTOR WALKS IN. He just saw us, turned on his heals, and headed back into the scene shop. He was like, call me when you're done.

Just today he happened to walk backstage while I was sitting on the lap of an actor, and my other friend was "necking" (as he put it) with another actor XD

It's just really funny because the whole thing makes him really awkward because he's a first year teacher and just... yeah, it's great.

Does anyone else have any awkward stories involving your teachers, or just about anyone that may have happened during rehearsal?

Woah, awkward turtle! I remember this one time, at arts camp, I was getting changed out of my Angel costume after Anything Goes, and I was pulling sweatpants on under my dress before taking it off. Anyway the director, who by the way was (and still is judging by his Facebook picture) HOT, walked in and was all "Oh, I'm so sorry . . . good job by the way!" and walked out. Well, I knew it wasn't a dressing room (it was the dance studio in back of the theater, which we used as a green room) and a guy could walk in at any moment, that's why I was careful about changing!

Awkward turtle is a huge thing at my school, there is even a little hand gesture... Most awkward thing was walking into the hallway when my friend was pretending to use a stand like a stripper pole.

We use it at my school a lot too. At least in the drama world of my school. It was also big at the camp I used to go to.

Yeah, I learned it from my church. We were doing prayer requests and my friend told us his parents were getting divorced so we all kinda sat there in this really awkward silence trying to figure out what to say to him.

And then my friend goes "AWKWARD TURTLE" and does the goofy little hand motion. It was like WTF?

But then I kinda brought the turtle to my school XD

I have had lots of awkward moments when everyone suddenly goes silent when I say something that sounds awkward, but really isn't. It is so embarassing...

By the way...I can't see my avie, or anyone elses...is it just me?

Hm...it's not awkward turtle at my school. Just "Awwwwwkward...". But creeper is big. "Man, that guy is such a creeper!" Go figure.

At my school, backstage at least, we're all pretty crazy. For an entire show, the girl's dressing room was called the Vag Cave. And whenever a guy walked in, he had to knock and say 'p***s'. Quite entertaining if you ask me. And those awkward moments of walking into the boys dressing room and having Rodger push up a poor, innocent boy up against a wall...or whenever Sydney wanted someone to help her undo her costume, she'd say, "Hey, would someone do me?" xp

Good times.

We had a stage B and stage C at my old school which were basically two old rooms on the side of the stage. Stage C had this weird little platform a few feet up in the air, so we hoisted a couch up on it a dubbed it Fort Velfenbine. Our two super techie's last names were Venkatramen and Elfebien, so we were gonna call it for Vankatramen-Elfenbien but we deemed that too long and combined the two.

In any case, I've had several guy walk in on me changing, but between me and the rest of the theatre major studies class, we have no modesty.

Evan has no modesty: Section One
The guys are supposed to be changing in the actual bathroom area of the guys dressing room because we're storing the props on a counter in their dressing rom, right? So I go in to put up a prop, and I'm chatting with Evan, and he realizes his costume is making him sweaty so he justs starts changing in front of me. I make a run for it, and luckily the show is over, and I'm whining to Meredith like a little kid... XD

Evan has no modesty: Section Two
Mrs. Hansen knocks on the guys room and asks if she can come in. Evan's the only one in there, and he replies "Yeah."
Mrs. Hansen goes in, and Evan's in his boxers. Mrs. Hansen freaks out and, needless to say, does whatever she'd needed to do later. XD

Akward moments huh? Well at my school when we do a musical, we lose all of our modesty. Girls change in front of guys, and vice versa without too much worry. My most akward moment was last year when we were putting on Julius Caesar. Marc Anony and I had to do "quick changes" and so we (both of us were girls) were backstage next to the ropes that control the pipes. So she's got her shirt off and I'm pantsless, and our stage manager (a man of about 55) walks back to where we are to go and get something. Marc Antony realized the akwardness of the situation (I did not sweatdrop )

Um, my other most akward moment was for the same show. It was the last performance night, and I was doing the scene with Calpurnia. I was wearing a red satin bath robe, and nothing underneath except my underwear. Well, that night the robe would NOT stay tied (except on the inside). So I was trying to tie my robe again when Calpurnia grabbed my hands in emotion, and I ended up untying the robe, and it just kind of fell open, and I side-flashed the audience. Oops!

I was doing a real quick-change for Julius Caesar and our stage manager walked around the corner. Marc Antony (a girl) had no shirt and I Caesar (also a girl) had no pants on. I didn't even notice at first, then I was like "Oh My God!!!" (delayed reaction).
