Poetry Rules;

If one should write a poem, then post it here, he may
But if one should find a poem, away from here you stay
For this forum is for the poems we write ourselves
And not poems from volumes that we find on bookstore shelves
I can understand poetry so good it should be shared
But from poetry both old and copyrighted we should be spared
It's in your best intrests, friend, to memorize this rhyme
For it holds the rules of poetry your will need in time
Ignorance is no excuse, for the facts are here to see
And if you make it through the lawsuits, you'll still have to deal with me.

Original Fiction Rules;

It came to my attention one day not long ago that we had no special place for original fiction. Now, 'tis true this guild is aimed primarily at fanfiction, but we obviously have many writers more than capable for originality. We needed a place for them to post and review original fiction, and maybe even to swap ideas, but also a place seperate from the fanfics and contests and spam. I took my worry to the Captain and sought her good but rare advise.
"Casiela," I said to her, "we have a bit of a problem."
"That's nice, dear," Casiela told me, obviously not listening to a word I was saying. She was entirely too busy making calf-eyes at her Gaian fiancee's avatar to care.
"No, it isn't." I told her sharply, turning her chair around so she was forced to look at me. "We have no place in our guild for fiction."
"The whole giuld's for fanfics, Wing," Casiela said. The look on her face told me she thought my mind was slipping.
"Not fanfics, Cas, original fiction. There's no place to put it."
"Make a subforum, then," She said.
"Very funny." I told her. Casiela can be very aggrevating at times, and this was one of those times. "Are you going to write the rules, or am I?"
"You are, of course,"
"And I supposed I'll have to pay for the subforum, too?" I'll admit I was being childish, even a bit silly, but it was something Casiela would do.
"Put it in with the poetry; that way you get your place for original fiction, and I don't have to pay for another subforum." Casiela turned resolutely back to the computer, and I sighed.
"Fine, but I'm not making a silly list of rules again." I warned her. "I'll do it my way. I'll tell them that fanfiction doesn't belong here and that they can't post for friends without writing it plainly in a boring list."
"You've been reading Anne of Green Gables again, haven't you?" Casiela accused me without looking my way.
"Anne's House of Dreams," I corrected her sternly. "You'll regret this, mark my words."
She didn't, of course. Casiela never regrets anything. But I did have a bit of fun writing this story, and I hope it gave you a smile to read it.
