Don't you hate it when you're doing a play that's dense and/or confusing, and your fellow cast members can't stop whining about it? Or, when you actually get it and can't understand why other people can't get it? I think sometimes when a play's really confusing, people try to hard to make sense of it. I barely put effort into understanding "Camino Real," but I just kind of absorbed the play, and listened to other people's interpretations, and before I knew it my own interpretation just came to me; I got it, and I really liked it!

Oh, and I hate when people hate a play just because they "don't get it." Can't they just appreciate art for art's sake?

Ooo yeah. I'm a theatre staff, and I've also been in many a production, and I've heard stuff like that all too much. I used ot work at a production called Corpse!, it being one very confusing play. Some characters in the play die and come back to life atleast four times, and there are identical twins that are trying to murder eachother and it's all just a big complex mishmash. Even so, it was well thought out and well put together, but most of the other staff members just whined and yawned stressed
