Are you asking for like how to do it on an Excel Spreadsheet or something else? Also, be more elaborate, and give me your data.. I have no idea what you're talking about currently, so please elaborate.

i want to know how to make a line graph with the points and the line connecting them altogether i guess you could make a line graph the same way you could make this http://www.aqstats.com/graphs/plot.php?level=81&mark=1136&type=mp but i don't know how to do neither, also the coorinates are in billions and there's 18 of them and i would give you them but i want to learn myself so could you help me out also how would you get names at like years and the other one?

That is called a box and whisker plot, but before I can show you how to make it, you have to tell me:
- your data - what program do yyou want it on

Not Microsoft excel because i don't think you can make a line graph using it and i don't know what the other two are, i want it like it was on a graph sheet with the squares and lines with the y-axis on the left going vertically and the x-axis on the bottom going across the title would be "The Total Midyear Population for the World 1950-2050" the y-axis would have on the side "Midyear Population (Billions)" and the x-axis under it would have "Years" for the y-axis the numers on the side would go from 0-10 and the years would go by 10s for the first four then by fives after that so i guess if you can't have the points in the middle i guess for the first four you'll just skip a line this is why i wanted to learn how to do the stuff myself.

I'm trying it on Open Office, and I don't think it does Box and Whisker Plots.
However, it is very easy to do it by hand, you know.

Can Excel really not do that? That doesn't sound right.

This thread has been around for a while, and so I'm assuming that the due date has already passed. Because of that, I'm marking this thread as resolved.
