The words rung through Dicks head as he waited at the top of the stairs in Wayne Manor for Keira. lightning flashed outside and a storm threatend as large raindrops started hitting the large windows. a chill ran down Dicks spine.
Where was Keira....we promised to meet here right after school....it was Monday....and Bruce was already gone for the night to patrol the city as Batman.
d**k wrung his hands as he glanced over his shoulder to the forbidden door.

With a little admitting to procrastination that was completely unneeded, Keira rubbed the back of her neck, kicking her shoes off and leaving on her candy striped socks. Wearing skirts was tiring work. Even for her, she looked around as she made her way to the 'forbidden tower', realizing it sounded like the room from the Beauty and the Beast'....she smiled.
Guess Birdie's playing beauty tonight...she thought as he came into view.

d**k began to pace a little..a loud clap of thunder made him jump...he really diddnt like storms and usually found work to do in the Batcave during storms so that way he couldnt hear the thunder. The Manor seemed to darken as did the sky outside. he was at least glad he wasnt out in the storm like Batman right now.
he decided to whistle a bit waiting for Keira.

Keira always felt embodied by storms. Quiet an peaceful at times, loud and strong at others...She looked up at the tall windows while lightning lit the way to her Birdie. She couldnt help but start doing something close to a ballet dancer's spin while she came closer to d**k. Dancing in the rain...

d**k couldnt whistle very good so he stopped and ran his fingers through his thick black hair.
maybe this wasnt such a good idea after all....maybe they really had no business poking their noses around where they had been forbidden. d**k bit his bottom lip as he conteplated the situation...maybe Keira had changed her mind too and thats why she wasnt there. he thought.

It was when Keira stopped her spins to take a breath that she saw d**k and called out "Hey Birdie!!" She smiled and began her new set of twirls with the loud crash of lightning behind her, as if encouraging her to go on, she smiled wide, appealing to it with a hop.

d**k gasped and grabbed at his heart with his hand...he looked to see Keira...she seemed awhirl dancing in the light if the lightning. he was slightly relived to see her.
"K-keira where were you??" he said trying to catch his breath and beating heart.

Stopping her humming to keep her spin in tune, Keira stopped, right infront of him now, curtsying formally. she came back up and smiled "I was taking my shoes off, I can't dance like this in them, or explore.." she added, smiling wider.

"Oh...alright then" d**k said almost questioning her logic but decided against it.
"Alright...well" he stammerd slightly...he diddnt want to admitt that he was getting cold feet about this...after all he was the boy wonder here....he wasnt supposed to show fear.

Keira found herself at a crossroads: Extend on d**k's fear and maybe have some fun with it, or be the good person for once and try to actually help somehow. She smiled at him, holding up his hand as she did so. "You know we don't have to if you're nervous!"

d**k thought about this for a second...then stepped away from Keira...resisting the comfort.
"No....this is our only chance to solve the mystry" he said then approached.....the door.

Keira couldn't deny that she was minorly shocked, not that it was the first time he had done something like this, but that he seemed so serious. Still, she regained her smile and followed him, atleast he was learning to stand up for himself...

d**k took a breath and placed his hand on the door handle and twisted...the door diddnt budge for a second d**k pulled a little harder....it still didnt open...he looked over to Keira.
"its not locked...but it wont open"

"Huh?" Keira frowned, she wasnt about to stop short now that they were so close, she stepped over to d**k and put her own hands on the handle. "On three?" she said, looking at d**k.

d**k nodded and placed his hands over hers.
"Alright....one...two.... thee!" Robin pulled and strained with all his might...untill his face was bright red....but it was no good the door stayed shut.
d**k scratched his head.
"There must be a trick to it...maybe there is a different way of opening it besides the handle...maybe the handle is just a ruse." he mutterd
