HangarThe Shuttle Bay is the most open area of any UNSC ship. The Leviathen has much less space than a Carrier, since it's a Cruiser, but it can still hold all of its remaining Pelican dropships, as well as MBT's, Warthog LRV's, and Longsword Interceptors. This is where most Marines depart from the ship, but others find less suitable ways in emergencies when they are unable to reach the Hanger, such as a lifepod. Settled within the shuttle bay of the UNSC ship known as the Leviathen, a helmetless Spartan-087 was currently sitting upon a crate. But her helmet was currently within reach of the female spartan's grasp, just incase a emergency decided to appear from within or even around the Leviathen. Even though they had succeeded in repelling the covenant invaders away from Planet Helgard and out from the base concealed underneath the planet's surface, that didn't exactly mean that the remaing spartans and marines could just sit back and relax.
Kelly gently set the BR55 battle rifle down on the crate infront of her helmet and quietly released a sigh that was concealed underneath her breath, the spartan then raised her right hand up into the air and began to rub her forehead with her guantlet covered hand. Kelly then slowly allowed her eyes to close and almost instantly her memory drifted back toward the time when she and the other SPARTAN II's were nothing more than young cadets in training for what they were about to go through.
The female spartan's covered hand eventually dropped back down to a resting position against her leg as the thoughts from her pasts which was spent with Spartan-117 and the others replayed over in her mind. Kelly remained sitting ontop of the crate full of supplies and continued to dwell within the thoughts from her past, she soon found out that her thoughts shifted toward Linda, Fred, and even John whom she hasn't seen or even heard about in a very long time.
"Please be safe John." Kelly thought to herself about the person who she considered to be a brother due to the long time they spent with one another, she truly thought of everyone who was involved with the SPARTAN II program to be her brothers and sisters just as Spartan-117 surely did. Kelly slowly opened her eyes again and scanned around the shuttle bay for a few seconds, before lifting up her helmet in her gloved hands. Spartan-087 began to examine one part of her armor as she turned the helmet around in her hands, hoping that this would be one way to pass the time as she and everyone else continued to sit idly within the shuttle bay of the Leviathen.

Tam wandered through the shuttle bay, weaving through the line of warthogs and trailing his fingers over the bodywork, wondering when he'd get his chance to fight. He passed severel techs and nodded a greetin their way. He hefted the duffel bag he had hanging on his right shoulder to make it more comfortable and continued his wandering.

Standing dumbstruck, Mendez didn't really know what happened. He had never experienced something like the moment he had a few minutes ago. Scratching his stubble of hair, Mendez was glad he'd brought his wife's picture with him that day, along with his rifle.

Spartan-G303 moved over to the a warthog and sat on the back by the chaingun. His helmet had been removed carefully and his jet black hair had begun to spike a little more than usual from the change in electrolytes sent through his armor. His nerves felt like they had been lit on fire the second he came into contact hand to hand with the elite. Such a small encounter seemed to trigger something in his mind, but he had no idea what it was. The armor had deep gashes in it from their encounter with a part of the covenant armada on that one planet, and was blackened in some spots from heated plasma barely missing him. So many had died during their encounters on Planet Helgard, the Spartan-III's home and training ground since they were each 4 or 5 years old. It was Ash's job to move the names of his fallen Spartans though, to the MIA list. Spartans never died, and had been taught that by the late Spartan-G287 after picking up the transmission on accident. The hazel eyes of the lieutenant glanced around the shuttle bay for a moment while he devised a plan. Each of the Spartans had some special skill. Danielle was sneaky, Loki was a crack shot marksman, David could beat a brute in hand to hand combat, and Alex was an extrordinary leader. In that moment of though, it came to him. A revelation. He would make two teams, one large, one small. BUt the problem was... how was he going to put it into action?

David walked over and sat down on a crate next to Kelly. He just sat there quiet, staring at her helmet. His wrapped leg was stretched straight out ahead of him. After a few minutes of just sitting there, David made a gesture towards her helmet. "You mind if I...you know...see it? Please? I promise I wont break it...Please?"

Kelly was still sitting firmly on the crate with her battle worn helmet being held firmly in her grasp, her mind was still focused upon her memories from the past with the other Spartans till David had walked over and sat next to her on the crate. Kelly then snapped out from her thoughts and turned her head to the side in order to look at David who was staring at her helmet which resided in her grasp. Her attention then turned down toward the item which was somewhat precious to her and without saying a word yet, she extended her arm out toward David with the bottom edge of her helmet held within her hand.
"How is your leg doing?" Kelly finally broke her few moments of silence and asked the twenty-five year old marine. The spartan's pale face and pupils remained looking directly toward David as she waited for both his answer and for him to take the helmet out from her hand, since he wanted to see her helmet which served the daily role of protection for the spartan.

David hesitated at first, thinking that she was kidding, but then he just grabbed it. He started to turn it in his hand like a young boy with a new toy. He titled it in his hands slightly so that he could see out of its visor. Wow, this is nice. If I was picked...then...wow. David's finger twitched towards the interior of the helmet to feel the material. David jumped as he felt it heat up, the cool down and then change to his body temperature.
"Wow, I am officially jealous. Here," David reached out and handed the helmet back to the Spartan. "My leg will be fine, the Doc said I could take the wrap off in a few days and to refrain from any strenuous activities...including battle. I hate that, but if a battle comes around, and I am there, I don't care what Doc says, they are going to die." David felt his adrenaline spike as he was speaking. He paused and waited for it to pass. "Well, anyways, what's it like...you know, being a Spartan and all?"

Snane unfortunetly had been in a cryo deep sleep for sometime due to an injury sustained during a combat training exercise. The time he spent in cryo had given his body time to heal itself along with meds supplied by the ships doctors. He had missed out on the action taken place on Helgard so, when he was recently released from his slumber he wasted no time in preparing for whatever lay ahead.
The bay was quite alive with activity as the doors parted he saw it all and took it in. He passed by rows of equipment & vehicles but none of that caught his fancy until he spotted a Spartan sitting atop a crate speaking with a marine. Snane spat out a wad of gum that had became bitter because it lost its flavor and with that same bitter look he felt the same towards that Spartan or rather all of them. He shook his head and started PCI's on his own equipment.

Kelly looked on as David became hesitant and unsure about taking the helmet out from the spartan's hand, she continued to hold the helmet for a few more seconds till the marine took the helmet in his own hands only to begin overlooking the helmet, both inside and out. A small smile appeared on her pale face as she watched David jump from touching the material covering nearly every inch inside the helmet, the spartan then listened to the what the marine had to say and took the helmet back from him only to gently place the item down on the steel crate next to the battle rifle.
Spartan-087 then listened to what David had to say in return about her question involving his injured leg, Kelly's attention drifted toward yet another marine who entered the shuttle bay and immediately noticed the bitter expression on Snane's face. Kelly quickly dismissed the look she had seen countless times before and listened to David finish answering her question. "It's good that you won't let a minor wound be a burden to you, I know how it feels to not be able to fight right away." She said in agreement with the marine without bothering to go into details, she then listened to his question of what being a spartan was like.
"It's different as you allready may or may not know, but at the same time it's also interesting and intriguing for the lack of better words." Kelly replied to the marine and once again didn't bother to go into details with her answer, mainly because of the 'kidnapping' and the heavy series of augmentations that she and the other remaining spartan-II's had to go through when they were at the young age of fourteen.

Snane had the MA5B broken down to an extent. He held the bolt in one hand examining it carefully for any faults..." Just a little carbon..." he said to himself and sat it down next to the other parts. Reaching around to his side he drew a knife out, picked up the bolt once more & began to free the carbon from the bolts surface. A few minutes of fiddling around with it, he place the knife and started the quick reassembly of the rifle. "..A little CLP and presto your ready to rock again babe " he said talking to the rifle as he charged it and did a functions check of it.

Master Gunnery Sergeant Magnus Tennfjord walked into the shuttle bay, a lit cigarette between his lips and a mind to do a little touch-up maintinance on one of the Pelicans, just to take his mind off the boredom of waiting for orders from one of his C.O.s. However, when he entered what caught his eye wasn't any of the Pelicans, but something he had wanted to see up close for the entire span of his service. A suit MJOLNIR battle armor. He quickly crossed the bay to it, not even realizing that there was a person in it.
"Oh, this is simply amazing," he said running his hands over the fusion pack casing on the back of the armor, "I never thought I'd get to see one. Its a little worse for wear, but still fully functional. The composite used to mak-" It was at this point that Tennfjord realized that, not only was there someone in the armor but that it was a woman and an officer.
Tennfjord snapped swiftly to attetion without prompting, other than anxiety. "Sir!" he barked, his voice snapping across the bay like a whip. He then stood perfectly still, preparing himself and mentaly going over every punishment that might be instore for him for what could be construed as groping an officer. As an afterthought, he dropped his cigarette and steped on it, grinding it out with his foot in a second.

Ash looked over at Kelly and then looked back at the roster he had brought up on his heads up display. He moved names here and there, making sure to balance out the teams. The newly formed Delta Squad was looking nice, a fine team for sure, but he needed someone to watch over Alex and the rest of Gamma Company. He looked at the rosters again to make sure he had everyone where he wanted and then added Alex's name where his used to be. He checked over the roster again to make sure there was no mistake. Delta SquadSpartan-G303: D-1 (Delta One) Lieutenant Junior Grade Spartan-G245: D-2 (Delta Two) Chief Petty Officer Spartan-G271: D-3 (Delta Three) Senior Chief Petty Officer Spartan-G210: D-4 (Delta Four) Senior Chief Petty Officer Spartan-G263: D-5 (Delta Four) Chief Petty Officer Spartan-087: D-6 (Locke) Ensign Gamma CompanySpartan-G232: G-1 (Calibur) Lieutenant Junior Grade Spartan-G201: G-2 (Mavrik) Ensign Spartan-G215: Avery Spartan-G217: G-4 (Angle) Master Chief Petty Officer Spartan-G221: Mary Spartan-G224: Matthew Spartan-G237: Alkane Spartan-G256: Axel Spartan-G268: Halley Spartan-G281: Kira Once satisfied Ash spoke to the AI Atreyu for the first time since the start of the combat on Helgard. "Atreyu, can you do me a favor?" he asked. -Shoot- it said in a ecstatic reply. "Well" he started saying, "I've been thinking about the groups, and I need an AI that isn't so..." He paused looking for the right word, "free of mind." -Ah, I understand sir, if you want I can transfer to any of the Spartans you wish- said the AI. Ash sighed and stood up, "You'll be going to Spartan-G232, the leader of the newly formed Gamma Company." -I see no reason to complain, his mind is sure to be different from yours.- "God, I hope so. Get ready to be pulled in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... mark." Once the chip slid out of Ash's helmet he carefully placed it in a small compartment on the armor so he could transfer the AI safely. Soon he was to have Delta Squads newest team member inside his suit, and more importantly, his mind. He stood up off the warthog and walked over to where Kelly and Magnus were standing. With each step he undid another part of his helmets locking mechanism, and by the time he got to the 10th step he was standing next to Kelly. Carefully he removed the blackish helmet from the MJOLNIR Mark IX, and gazed around at the suroundings and then flashed a smile at the marine, "I'm Ash, it's a pleasure to meat you." Ash extended his hand to the gunny.

Spartan-087 was still sitting ontop of the crate while patiently awaiting for whatever David was going to say next when she noticed from the corner of her eye that Ash happened to be looking at her. While Kelly was looking back at Ash, she had failed to notice that someone had and was currently standing behind her in order to recieve a good look at the MJOLNIR battle armor which currently covered her whole body with the exception of the helmet. The spartan's back instantly straightened from marine's touch against the fusion pack and her eyes grew wide while she then turned around to face Magnus who still happened to caught up in speaking about the MJOLNIR armor she wore.
Kelly listened to what Tennfjord had to say before he stopped himself from speaking, which meant to the spartan that Magnus had finally realized what exactly he was doing. She watched as the marine quickly placed himself in the position of which was required whenever a superior officer was lurking around, Kelly stared at him for a few seconds before raising her gauntlet covered hand up toward her forehead only to salute the marine. "At ease Marine." Spartan-087 said in a calm tone of voice while lowering her own hand away from her forehead.
Kelly remained staring at Tennfjord and noticed that he seemed to be well prepared to accept whatever sort of punishment that he may or may not recieve for his actions against the spartan. While Magnus removed the cigarette out from his mouth and stomped out the cigarette underneath his boot, Kelly had removed herself from off of the crate and left her helmet and weapon resting ontop of the steel crate. She was now standing infront of the marine with a arm's length of distance inbetween the two of them, both for her own personal space and the marine's as well. While Kelly had continued to wait for the marine's reply, she noticed from the corner of her eye that Ash had also walked over to the two of them only to introduce himself to Magnus Tennfjord.
